25.01.2022 If you are an LPG customer, we suggest that you get in today and fill your tank up as there has been a BIG increase in the price. Tomorrow (7/01/2020) our LPG will rise to 104.9cpl. and expect all other retaiulers to lift their price the next time they receive a delivery.

25.01.2022 To all our customers who use our high flow Diesel pumps at the side of the building, we are SORRY that pump 13 has been out of action for so long. Unfortunately pump 13 had a leak from the same place that it leaked a couple of years ago. Fortunately the leaks were contained in the sumps we had fitted when we took over the business 5 1/2 years ago so there was no contamination to the environment! We ordered a new pump in June, but because of Covid there have been lengthy dela...ys. We now expect the new pump to arrive at the end of this month and be installed soon after. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused our customers, but our environment is important, and we want to do our bit to protect it. Management Placid Ark

25.01.2022 We would like to apologise to all of our LPG customers for not having it available for the last 2 weeks. We changed suppliers and it took longer than expected to get our new supplier in place. We now have Origin LPG for vehicles, and our price is 104.9 cpl. We look forward to seeing you back for the cheapest LPG in Peel.

21.01.2022 ## UPDATE THANKS AGAIN TO OUR AWESOME FOLLOWERS. We have had the offender identified by several people and will pass the information on to the Police. This person has stolen fuel from us before, but in a different vehicle!! Can anyone please help us identify this DICK. He is driving a Black Ford Territory Ghia Turbo Petrol (older shape) and has false trailer plates on the front and rear. He came from Waroona direction and left heading towards Pinjarra. It's hard enough to m...ake ends meet without losing money like this! Thanks for your ongoing help and support!!!

18.01.2022 Management and Staff at Placid Ark will be sad to see one of our cooks "JESS" leave work to have a baby!! Jess's last day will be on Tuesday 25th August, so if you know her please call in to wish her well. We all hope that everything goes well for Jess and Mark and that they enjoy the new bundle of joy who is due to enter their lives in the near future.... 18.01.2022 It appears that a lot of people are buying extra fuel in-case there is a lockdown, however this should not effect fuel supplies. Petrol Stations are considered an essential service so will not be forced to close. Even if our shop should close due to a staff member getting sick, fuel will still be available via our outdoor payment terminal. Unfortunately LPG would not be available in this instance.... Also, to comply with social distancing, lines have been marked on the floor of the shop to help you keep a safe distance from each other. Please stay safe and follow the rules so that we can slow the spread of this hideous virus.

We now have a service window at the front of the store, and our stock has been turned around so that you can "Window Shop" We have had many requests for the Bain-Marie to be moved next to the window, but this isn't easy to achieve. We have a plan and will look at implementing it tomorrow. We hope that this will appease all our hungry customers! 16.01.2022 It's lucky that there was no traffic coming the other way when this person pulled out in front of a large truck! There is clear vision to the right from this exit, so PLEASE take the time to have a good look before you enter the highway. Sorry for the poor picture, but it's still quite dark at 6.30pm.

15.01.2022 The people in this car stole about $80 fuel a week ago and had false plates attached to his vehicle, HOWEVER, the vehicle was later seen with correct plates and this info was passed to Police. Police have now fined the driver $500 for stealing the fuel, and we assume they also cherged him for fitting false plates to his vehicle. THANKS!! to all our Facebook followers who contine to help us locate these parasites!!

14.01.2022 Many people will have heard the ACCC or Politicians criticize petrol station operators for not passing on the drop in the wholesale price of fuel to the Public, and even going to the extent of telling people not to buy any other products from petrol stations to hurt them!! (this is a ridiculous statement to make because this would actually force retailers to increase the price of fuel further) This makes my blood boil!! I know that our fuel turnover has dropped by more than 3...0% whilst our shop sales have dropped by almost 50%, yet I still have the same running costs. There are few things I can do to offset our losses other than to increase our margin on fuel to help reduce the gap. In an article from the Australasian Convenience and Petroleum Marketers Association (ACAPMA) the following excerpt shows the detail of the situation and who makes the most from fuel sales. This article shows the average price of unleaded as being 91cpl. At 91cpl, the federal government is capturing 50.6cpl in excise (42.3cpl) and GST while the rest of the industry the oil producer, the fuel refiner, the shipping company, the terminal operator, the fuel distributor and the fuel retailer are all sharing just 40.4cpl, I think the ACCC commissioner and other Politicians shoot from the hip without doing sufficient home work!!

14.01.2022 Placid Ark are in the process of making some changes to help protect our staff and customers from COVID-19. As a result, our dining room will be closed for dine-in food orders as of 9.30pm tonight (17/03/2020) until further notice. Takeaway food will still be available, and may be eaten in the dining room, but no crockery or metal cutlery will be supplied. We ask that you put your waste in the bin provided so that our staff do not have to touch it.... We are in the process of obtaining glove dispensers so that you may use one to protect you whilst pumping fuel. Until this occurrs, gloves will be available on the table in front of the shop. PLEASE don't take more than one as they are limited in supply and this is for everyones protection!! All Hot Drinks will be supplied in a takeaway cup which you may pour into your keep cup, but this will not be done by staff. SORRY. When washing your hands in our bathrooms, please use the hand towel you use to dry your hands to turn off the tap! There will be signs up everywhere by tomorrow afternoon, but we want to be on the front foot with this and do our best to ensure COVID-19 transmission is minimised at our establishment. We have decided that we are going to take civil action against these thieves because we never see any reimbursement from the courts. The video is sped up apart from where he hangs up the pump and gets into his car... I wonder at what point he will claim he FORGOT to pay..

The vehicle will now show damage to the rear left quarter panel and have a broken tail light. Please pm us with any info. CHEERS!!

01.01.2022 ## SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE ## OUR FUEL WAS TESTED THIS MORNING AND BOTH TANKS WERE RECOMMISSIONED BY 9.00AM. We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused to our customers, however, we take our committment to quality seriously, Thanks Placid Ark Management... This evening we heard that some diesel fuel from the Coogee terminal may not be up to regulation standards. As we received a fuel delivery from Coogee this afternoon we have stopped selling deisel until our fuel can be thouroughly tested. We are very sorry for the inconvenience but want to ensure that our customers receive nothing but the best from Placid Ark. It is quite unlikely that our fuel is from the batch involved, but out of an abundance of caution we wont sell Diesel until it is tested. We have a very loyal customer base and know that you would expect nothing less from Placid Ark. We don't know if other petrol stations will do the same, but that is their decision to make. Technicians will be at the roadhouse at 4.00am to carry out their checks, and the result will determine what time we can sell diesel again.
