24.01.2022 Small businesses should support each other. I want to give J & L Computers of Gunnedah a HUGE plug. When we 1st took over the Plains Motor Inn Gunnedah, James stated he would not leave the premises until WIFI was available in every room. No one had to stand outside the office anymore to get connected. Over the last few months, they have fixed our laptop, and then last week he and his lovely wife Lisa came to the rescue when my computer crashed, they came and picked it up early in the morning. Then last night our room WIFI failed (no fault of J & L - a much bigger company was the problem). James was here pronto AGAIN ( and may I add- still recovering from an operation) and had us all running smoothly AGAIN, well before any guests checked in. Thank you J & L Computers for supporting us.

24.01.2022 On the weekend we celebrated the 49yrs & 51 weeks birthday of Basil, our multi talented Renovator/Mr Fix-it. The surprise look on his face when he saw Old Friends and as the Relatives arrived was priceless. Many stories were re-told and loved ones no longer with us were remembered. Unfortunately not all were able to attend due to work/personal reasons and they too were missed. However a great weekend was had by all in attendance. Thank you to everyone who made the effort to get here, be it a 14 to 16 hour train trip, road trip or flight. All the inter state, Sydney, few hour journeys and locals. So for the 29th Basil. Happy 50th from all of us

23.01.2022 TripAdvisor English / 30 Jul. 2017 5.0/5 100% Tremedous I stayed for two evenings from Monday 24th & Tuesday 25th, leaving on the Wednesday morning. I was in town on business and was extremely impressed with my room and breakfast and of course the warm hospitality of Sonya and Baz. I will certainly be staying again.

21.01.2022 Feel like we're finally getting somewhere. Only the Budget Queens to renovate and a few tweaks to Rooms 1 to 4, paint the front and back of the units etc etc. Our 15 little Home away from Homes are starting to come along nicely. Having a little break for awhile. When we get some more money & Baz is bored we shall commence again!!!!

13.01.2022 Finally!!!!!! The before and after this is Room 8 our Smaller Family Room - Queen with 2 singles. No more shag pile carpet. New Quilt covers and curtains are now in......Room 9 also complete!

We stayed for two nights having booked at the last minute. Took a queen budget room. The owner rang me to ask if I knew it was a budget room. When asked if there was anything wrong with it I was told it was dated but very clean and comfortable. This was no worry to us. We were supplied with crockery and cutlery as we wished to make our own breakfast. We were also given wine glasses when I mentioned having a glass of red...... wonderful service. Situated next to Woolworths we were able to collect what we needed very easily. The recommendation for things to see and do were much better at the motel than at the Information Centre which is very difficult to find. We were able to stroll to the local hotel for a wonderful evening dinner at a reasonable price. The owners are in the process of renovating each room but we were more than happy with our room. We would certainly stay there again..... Thank you Sonya for making our stay so enjoyable and friendly. See more

02.01.2022 10.0 2017-07-13 Kathy, (AU) Clean, friendly and cosy. Bathroom was exceptionally clean, and very spacious. Best shower I've ever had with lots of hot water and good water pressure. Beds were warm and comfy and the room had an air-conditioner which worked well and kept the room warm. Being on a busy street there was next to no noise heard at all! Location was great. Staff were lovely. Definitely will be back.... Staff 10.0 Facilities 10.0 Cleanliness 10.0 Comfort 10.0 Location 10.0 Value for money 10.0
