24.01.2022 What an EPIC 100 days it has been! We have been fortunate enough to travel through eight countries (one more to go for those of you counting at home), driven over 10,000km, yelled at hundreds of motorists, eaten our weight in souvas, consumed copious amounts of tzatziki, bread, fried potatoes, cured meats, pasta, grilled meats, seafood and beer. We have taken a thousand photos, seen some amazing sights (and missed out on some - traveling with a two year old has its small ch...allenges). We have swam in some of the most amazing beaches and sipped cocktails in some amazing cities. We were lucky enough to reunite with family and also meet some for the very first time. We have had amazing food (and we have had rubbish), we have had good coffee (and we have had something similar to coffee mixed with bore water), we have secondhand smoked a carton of cigarettes, we have had friendly service (and typical European hospitality attitude)... but this is what makes a holiday memorable and makes for good stories. In eight days we return to Melbourne, and we are fortunate enough and thankful to head to a job, a home, but also a beautiful city. Lets not forget amazing food... 03.01.2022 Two years ago we closed @plakagreekrestaurant. Even though I do miss it, I believe the timing was right for us. There has been a lot of negative crap in the media lately that isnt helping the industry I love and have spent nearly half my life in. It needs your support, so pick your favourite restaurant, call up and make a booking, please dont BYO, spend some money and enjoy a night out plus tip your waiters! I would hate to see a future of chain fast food joints and UberEats as the only dining options.
