25.01.2022 Collateral damage, if we change the way we manage our land in Australia we can reduce the number and the severity of forest fires

24.01.2022 Australia has been burning for over 3 months, let’s provide Aussie firefighters all the support and gratitude that they deserve.

24.01.2022 News article from the US gives a good overview of the severity of our fires, it speaks to the causes and possible remedies that should be applied to lessen the future risk. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=Fz5Cmbl0Bv4 https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=Fz5Cmbl0Bv4

23.01.2022 Putting Oz wild fires in an international context demonstrates just how much damage they have done, 12.35m acres lost in 2019.

23.01.2022 On 5G, there does not appear to be much obvious upside. Our government appears to be embracing this technology, perhaps not applying the same scrutiny that other governments around the world have applied.

22.01.2022 Great way to spend Australia Day

19.01.2022 Down under is burning!

12.01.2022 I congratulate Koala Crusaders and the Noosa Shire Council and all other stakeholders in achieving this outcome. Obviously it’s a first step in a long process, developing an environment where in the first instance a koala connolly & glossy black cockatoo flock will be established with numbers increased gradually over time through assisted breeding programs. Disease free koalas from this region exist that could be used to establish the Ringtail/Yerol colony.

09.01.2022 Looking forward to 2020 I started this page out of concerns that the all or nothing focus on climate change is preventing practical Planet remedies being put in place. 1. Our oceans are still being used as rubbish dumps, ... 2. legislators are still intent on giving us 5G, 3. Economists are still subscribing to populate or perish to promote perpetual ecomonic growth. 4. We are still told by so called experts and academics that forest fires are caused by climate change despite the large majority of the people actually on the ground and fighting these fires talking about fuel loads and unmanaged forests. Hopefully in 2020 our legislators and bureaucrats will make the necessary land management changes and come up with practical land based solutions to both our bushfire and climate crisis. Like-minded individuals working together can reduce the frequency and severity of forest fires in Australia. 2019 has been a shocker. Flood, drought, pestilence - basically all the bad bits of the bible. In 2020 hoping for more rain, less bushfires! 2018 Queensland saw horrific bushfires. 1,400,000 hectares of native forest were decimated due to 30 years of misconceived land and environmental policies. 2019 - over 500,000 hectares went up again along with 5,000,000 hectares in NSW, SA and Victoria. Forests are still burning and more is likely to go when the New Years hang over subsides. I’d like to wish everyone a happy New Years and look forward to 2020.

08.01.2022 A step in the right direction https://rainbowbeachcommunitynews.com.au/wind-farm-win-to-/

08.01.2022 Toms well researched well written overview. Provides an excellent recipe on how to reduce Australian wild fire intensity over the coming decades. My concern is that it’s very hard to get this strategy implemented through 3 levels of government and with the media that’s intent on promoting BS.
