22.01.2022 Water is never truly pure. Seawater for example is a soup of the periodic table. 96.5% of the ocean is water the other 3.5% is made up of chlorine, sodium, sulfate, magnesium and various other elements. In chemistry, a mixture is a portion of matter that consists of two or more different substances. Any mixture where we cannot see individual ingredients, and has a uniform composition throughout is called a homogenous mixture, we call these solutions. Common examples include ...air and soft drink. Homogenous mixtures are uniform in colour and density). A mixture where the ingredients are not uniformly dispersed over the whole sample are called heterogenous mixtures. An example would be a cup of noodle soup or mud. #Onlinelearning #schoolofearth #planetwarrioreducation #scienceforkids #sustainabilityforkids #scienceonlineforkids #onlinelearningforkids #onlinelearningplatform #homeschooling

09.01.2022 Water is vital to life on Earth for so many reasons. Most of your body weight is water and every cell, organ and tissue in your body needs water for many important bodily functions that keep you healthy. For example, your kidneys flush out any toxins in your body and excrete them through urination, your sweat helps regulate your body temperature, water also aids digestion and helps dissolve vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients from your food. Water also moves nutrients and oxygen around your body in your blood. Furthermore, water supports your cognitive functions keeping you alert which helps with memory and mood. 07.01.2022 Earth's magnetic field shields the Earth's surface from the solar wind by deflecting the high energy particles emitted by the Sun back into space! Without the magnetic field, life on Earth could not exist, as Earth would be exposed to harmful cosmic and solar radiation from the Sun. Earth's magnetic field can move and flip. In the past, magnetic poles have reversed and even changed direction. This means that the north pole becomes the south pole and vice versa. The last time... the Earth's magnetic flipped was 780,000 years ago. This flip doesn't just happen overnight. It takes 1,000's of years.
