09.01.2022 Our clients really appreciated us taking the time to understand their wishes. When they approached us seeking a solution for their hybrid steps that the previous layer was evidently too scared to touch, one of the concerns was not having a raised nosing that would look unsightly and be a trip hazard. We threw some ideas around and came up with these. Modified to suit a different product.

03.01.2022 And another moisture damaged floor. Client had noticed the floor buckling suddenly and called us in to correct it. The tension of the floor pushing against the wall was more intense than a good thriller. We previously pulled a few rows to release it but determined a new floor product was in order. Back today for the pull-up only to discover there was a good reason it had buckled. Deep moisture in the slab had even caused this screed to break off the floor. Poorly applied with no primer meant it hadn’t adequately bonded to the surface of the concrete foundation. Vapour was able to travel through small cracks in the concrete causing the failure.
