22.01.2022 G'day all, We just wanted to put a quick note out to everyone to say thanks for attending the 2020 Planktons show. It was a sensational sold-out seated spectacular.... For those who couldn't make it, don't worry we'll be back jumping the shark next year with even more songs to add to the set list we already have nailed down. For those who did make it but didn't get to take home a copy of Planktology - The definitive (unauthorised) history of The Planktons. Check your emails for a soft copy. Our special thanks also go to The Triffid who were so kind to offer us their sensational venue, amazing lighting and brilliant sound staff. We'd have had nothing in 2020 without their kindness and contribution. So that is it for 2020. 07.01.2022 AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan has confirmed a decision has been made on where THE PLANKTONS 2020 gig will be played. Boarding a flight to Queensland on Tuesday, McLachlan said the location, date and time will be confirmed on Wednesday. The Triffid in Brisbane is expected to be announced as the venue, replacing the MCG, once agreements are finalised and contracts signed....Continue reading

As you will be aware, currently The Planktons are self-isolating and jamming hard in anticipation of an unprecedented 2020. We urge you to also be alert, not alarmed for the year ahead. Be alert - the dates of our 2020 shows are below... Don't be alarmed - there are more shows slated with details to follow. No need to start panic-buying yet What can you do to prepare? Be clean, get your shit together. Mark the calendar, tell your friends, follow the event Facebook pages (see below) and get a babysitter cued up Wash daily. 03.01.2022 For all those coming to the show Sunday night here is the critical info you need to know. 1. The Triffid is open from lunch time for beers and munchies. The doors to the big room where the music will be performed open at 6pm 2. The UK BeeGees will be on just after 6.30pm 3. The Planktons will be on around 7.30-8.30 so don't be late... 4. When you arrive you need to know the name of the person who booked the table you are sitting at. You will then be escorted to your place. Once you've done the whole Corona Virus sign-in thing 5. We'll be done just after 10pm See ya then!
