25.01.2022 The newly refurbished Waigani Police Station showcases what a station that is equipped with the best resources looks like and reflects efforts by the Royal Papu...a New Guinea Constabulary to instil best practice and training models. Our Deputy High Commissioner, Caitlin Wilson, joined Prime Minister Hon. James Marape PNG Office of the Prime Minister and Minister for Police Hon. Bryan Kramer recently to open the new-look station under the #PNGAusPartnership supported Station of Excellence program. The Australian Federal Police through the PNG-Australia Policing Partnership (PNG-APP) assisted with funding of K4.6million to refurbish the existing building, install GPS tracking and dash cameras in vehicles, CCTV within the station and body worn cameras on patrolling officers. The Station of Excellence will assist with efforts to reform the management systems and organisational culture of the RPNGC with measures aimed at promoting integrity at all levels and achieving their motto Securing a Safer Community.
