23.01.2022 Its a hoedown here tonight. #massamancurry is a favourite in our house. The easiest, quickest most delicious and healthy meal to achieve I set my pick up from school alarm today at 2.25pm and I then realised I didnt have dinner ready. Ok, I have 5min till leaving time and I have a sleeping toddler to wake and transport. Ok, I can do this. Slow cooker out, tin of coconut milk, 3tbls of massaman paste, 1Tbls vege stock and a sliced tomato, dice up some potato and voila... we are in the car and driving out by 3.32pm. That is a 7min turnaround. We walk back in the door to the sweetest most enticing aroma and our bellys are rumbling. I add a few more last minute veges, steam some rice and dinner is ready and waiting for us. 16.01.2022 PROTECT YOUR VEGETABLE GARDEN FROM LITTLE CRITTERS: Homemade chilli spray! The fight is on ! My gorgeous growing greens are under attack from . Id love to share our food with you little guys but its about compromise and yall eating it all up! Heres the recipe for the best Chilli oil spray!... You will need.. - 10 birds eye chillis (or chilli powder) - 2 garlic cloves - 1BLS Dishwasher detergent (we recommend the best naturally @kinkinnaturals) Kin Kin naturals - 2TBLS olive oil (or whatever you have in cupboard) - Spray bottle (from glass bottles from @glassbottlesdirect in Yandina) Glass Bottles Direct 1. Grind down the garlic and chilli in the mortar and pestle. 2. Place it in a glass jar (our curry jars are perfect for this!) with the oil and let sit overnight. 3. Sift out the chilli and garlic pieces and funnel the left over liquid into the spray bottle. 4. Add the detergent and top up the spray bottle with water. Spray your leaves, and garden till your hearts content. 04.01.2022 MAKE YOUR OWN BREAD ROLLS : (yes this is where our Italian side shines ) What youll need... 25g Butter (olive oil) 225g Organic Grain Flour (self raising) 225g Organic wholemeal Flour (plain)... 2tsp Yeast 1tsp Coconut sugar 1tsp Salt 175ml warm Water 1 egg (not essential just adds a shiny crust) 1) Combine Flours, yeast, sugar and salt in a bowl and rub the butter (or oil) until mixture looks like breadcrumbs. 2) Make a dip and pour water slowly. Add seeds or herbs (etc rosemary) now and leave some for topping. 3) Mix with a wooden spoon until it starts to come away from bowl. 4) Knead the dough for 6min adding more flour if needed. 5) Roll dough into a long log and cut 12 even sized pieces. Roll into balls and place on greased tray. Preheat oven to 180Degrees celsius. 7. Cover with a bee wrap (we recommend Bee Eco Wraps) and leave in a warm place for 40min to rise. 8) When rolls have doubled in size, they are ready to decorate. Brush with beaten egg (or V option is olive oil) and sprinkle seeds and herbs. 9) Bake for 20-25min Yummy!!!
