21.02.2022 Where it all began - come and see what Lucinda loved about designing her new interior flatlay as inspiration for her colour selections! "My favourite part was the blue tile for the kid's bathroom, and the oak vintage flooring for the home - so cosy and inviting," she said. What do you think?... Check out the Trinity for yourself, on display at World of Homes Spring Mountain.

06.02.2022 * APPRECIATION POST * This post should come with a warning, because we’re about to unleash some serious love and gratitude for our tradies! We all know the construction industry has been slammed throughout this pandemic by lockdowns, changing site rules and restrictions, supply issues and of course, people recovering from actually catching COVID (#staysafe)... It’s a lot. Challenges, changes the impact on any industry has been significant, but especially in home building, when you’re trying to get the job done for customers who just want to be living in their new home. At the frontline, our trade workforce continue to show up and get on with the joband we couldn’t have built over 15,000 homes for Queensland families without the mutual respect and commitment we have with each other. From the simple things, like the fact we always pay our trades and suppliers on time, to the more complex challenges, we listen to and advocate for our trades - and we truly appreciate them! What speaks volumes is when our trades choose to build a Plantation home themselves. It talks to the quality and confidence of the skilled workmanship that goes in to building each and every one of our homes, and the trust we have with each other. It’s more than being a payslip, it’s being part of the team! We will also manage, with the incredible help from our trades and suppliers to continue with the building of our 2022 charity home and support the Mater Hospital in Brisbane as part of the House for Life Program, and this all just makes us so proud! To all the trades out there, but especially to our team THANK YOU! thanks to our friends @blackmarlinconstructionsptyltd

11.01.2022 It's no secret that COVID-19 has created an unexpected building industry boom, with many construction materials and supplier products caught up in the demand surge, from the timber frames to the tapware. Despite this, timber remains the preferred material of choice because it's lightweight, versatile, practical and more sustainable than some alternatives. In fact, 80% of Australian homes are built with timber! One of the first building materials on a new home site is timber..., and it’s also used extensively in home renovations, which is also a market powering ahead, so it’s important we understand why we continue to use timber! Did you know: Using timber to build your new home is the equivalent to taking the carbon of three petrol cars off the road for a whole year, as it absorbs and locks in carbon when it’s growing - and removes it completely from the atmosphere, organically and naturally. #mindblown Timber frames are also the most popular frame of choice because they can be installed with ease, while also being easy to maintain and repair, and they are more affordable. When building a new home, we think it’s important for all homeowners to understand that having a timber-framed home is a powerful way of helping with climate change, from the cycle of harvesting and replanting trees to the positive carbon storage benefits that every timber frame provides.
