Funds raised go directly to projects in Pemba and Zanzibar, empowering local communities to rebuild their forests, and grow sustainable agroforestry, combating climate change where on small islands that need it most! 22.01.2022 And that’s a wrap! Almost 5 months at the Fraser Coast and it has been a blast!! Like any tree planting contract, theres a whole lotta shit that goes down... and when it’s all over you just look back and smile, then laugh, and then miss it, then think to yourself ‘never again’...and then sign up for the next contract. . Together we’ve survived drought and shut downs, followed by never ending rain. The hottest of the hot days, and muggy buggy nights. . We’ve laughed together..., cried together, seen each other at our best and worst. We’ve grown stronger, fitter, reached PB’s and been proud of each other. . We’ve sung reggaton at the top of our lungs, danced like fools, kartwheeed over sand dunes, swam with turtles, surfed in beautiful beaches, hiked, swim in tea tree lakes, shared pizza, birthdays, and played many many board games. . We’ve formed beautiful friendships, and we’ve loved, and lost, and loved again. . We’ve planted trees, so many trees, we’ve loaded trees, delivered trees, checked trees. We’ve dreamt about trees. We’ve hated trees and tree planting. And of course we never stopped complaining fiercely about loading trees. . We’ve broken absolutely everything we own, fixed it, and broken it again. A million times. . On top of all that, we’ve made some good money, stacked up some extra farm days, got some brand spanking new visas, learnt some pretty cool new skills and realised that we truly are TREE PLANTING WARRIORS! . We have about 7 million trees to plant this year nationwide! We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Team Leader who is looking for a challenging but rewarding role in an exciting industry. ... What’s the job: - Large scale tree planting for forestry plantations throughout QLD, NSW and VIC - Millions of trees are hand-planted by our planters each year. - Manage a crew of 12-18 planters, working alongside a Project Manager to o Oversee the successful completion of tree planting projects. - Ensure WHS is kept at the highest priority, by understanding and following our WHS policies. - Ensure paperwork is completed daily - inductions, safety reports and stock tracking. - A sense of urgency at all times. This is an extremely fast paced environment, and the Team Leader needs to be a step ahead of the pack. - Training and coaching is provided. - Above award rates for the right person - Shared accommodations, with a vehicle provided. What's required of you: - Leave your home to come and live with us in rural locations - usually in beautiful parts of the country in QLD, NSW and VIC. - Join us for one, two or all of our projects.
