24.01.2022 Anthurium Pallidiflorum vs Vittarifolium how to tell the difference? I have seen a few people being sold the Vittarifolium ( more common )as a Pallidiflorum ( rarer ) The main difference ? Velvet !!! We all LOVE velvet These are pictures of one of my Pallidiflorum ... Can you see the sheen ? Always ask for close up pics in good light That Velvet shimmer is always there even as younger seedlings Live your best plant life ! Taleixxx See more

20.01.2022 Rhaphidaphora Cryptantha , Monstera Dubia Care and Propagation I dont know about you but I LOVE shingling plants ! 1. They LOVE humidity even a good misting 2. Bright Light ... 3. Quarter strength feed 4. Open Aroid Mix for root growth not air root growth How to tell the difference ? Rhaphidaphoras leaves grow pointing up Dubias leaves point down A lot of people are buying stem cuttings without leaves , place them in a covered container( with a few air holes ) add orchid bark / sphagnum moss ( I add expanded clay ) Lay them flat on the mix and mist depending on light and warmth the key is moist not wet until the roots take hold and new growth appears. In nature they grow on bark so sphagnum is only for aesthetics as they can get the extra food they need from the wood you plant them on . Live Your Best Plant Life ! Talei Plant Portal xxx

01.01.2022 Stromanthe ,Calathea , Ctenanthe Care Humidity ! They are jungle plants and need to be spritzed with a fine mist water bottle or humidifier Also they hate cold drafts ... They love soil that is open NOT wet but damp Potting mix add perlite and peat moss Keeps the soil open but also holds moisture No Tap water Britta jug is fine and room temp Brown tips = humidity Brown edges = chemicals / salts in the water Curling = moisture loss / protection from heat Live your best plant life Talei at plant portal xxx
