24.01.2022 Its been a very busy few months, especially with the Royal Show, Spring Racing Carnival and Melbourne Cup, not to mention house sales, weddings and Corporate Displays. All of this is on top of our usual long term hire clients. We have also been working on some one off bespoke projects which adds a bit of variety. Christamas is almost here so we have also been installing live and synthetic Trees into some of our clients. There is nothing better than that fresh smell of pine t...o instill that sense of Christmas. A tidal wave of green continues to wash through the corporate sector, with most contemporary architects now considering the benefit both Aesthetically and also in regard to the well being of those in the spaces they create. RMIT have recently released their findings into the benefit of having plants in working environments. Despite the research already being done and out there for many years, its only now being taken on board seriously and becoming a crucial part of office fit outs. Allowances are now being made in budgets to accommodate this crucial part of modern architectural design. Most entertainment venues also understand the advantages of greening up. Most pub developments have a large part of their budgets allocated to greening. It creates a fantastic atmosphere. We had our Christmas dinner at the Feathers on Saturday night, They have had some fantastic advice from their architects and the end product is a credit to all. The new developments create an atmosphere that is magnetic and considering the number of people and the full car park, its easy to see that I am not the only one impressed. Westfield has also set up a new division focused on the overall environment of their centers and there is a real focus on greening. Modbury is about half way through their redevelopment of the food court with other major developments underway in other areas - all of which have a really heavy emphasis on plants. Its a very exciting time in our industry both in the focus on greenery by all as well as all of the new options and Ideas about how to green. New street greening developments within the city are also adding to the overall contemporary humanization of our spaces which can only be good. Indoor environments are tricky when it comes to servicing these new developments, we have a wealth of knowledge in this field and are often asked to give advice or to provide our maintain services. If you need advice about options, possibilities or anything to do with greening feel free to contact us. See more

24.01.2022 It's fantastic working alongside another locally owned and operated company to achieve a really spectacular outcome. A big thanks to all at Bizzarro Event Stylist for allowing us to supply specialist items and plants for their display. The finished affect was amazing. A talented bunch of South Australians, pushing the boundaries and setting the standard.

18.01.2022 Quick and effective - Another professional installation by the Plantscape team. This particular installation was to replace a live green wall with high quality synthetics. It highlighted how crucial correct lighting is when designing a feature planting with live plants in an office space. In this image the light looks adequate but on site the lighting is actually very subdued. The live plantings despite being on site for 4 - 5 years had never thrived. If the correct lighting ...had been installed the live plantings would have looked exactly the same as this image with the benifits that live plantings bring to an office space. Live plants help deal with VOCs within the air, air quality within work spaces has been a big issue. The VOCs contained in synthetic plants have a negative affect on air quality, that is why live plants are always the best option. 17.01.2022 Its been a very eventful beginning to the year and I mean that literally. We have had back to back and overlapping events right the way through -from the Tour Down Under to the Fringe and everything in between all needing bespoke plant design and supply. I would like to thank all of the event coordinators - event hire companies and privateers for their continued use and support of our services. We hope to expand our range of short term options over the next few months and als...o add additional images to our web site. Our long term hire also continues to go from strength to strength with a number of new corporate clients choosing Plantscapes to add that green touch to their corporate spaces. It's always important to remember that a successful business doesn't just happen, a successful business only attains its successful status through the continued hard work and commitment of all of its staff members. Its been a very busy start to the year with a great number of goals and objectives set for the remainder of 2017. Working as a team we have the capacity to achieve great things. As the manager of Plantscape Interiors I am looking forward to new opportunities, ventures and challenges for the rest of the year and beyond.

15.01.2022 We have just got our hands on some unique and bespoke planters, they are used but are in really good condition. Our R&D staff are currently doing a " Talk it chalk it" session to see if we can come up with new ways to use them other than just on Tambour Units. Floor standing features with custom designed architectural legs is our first firm ideas so now we go into the manufacturing process. As we have ample numbers we have decided to allow 8 to be sold as is. they can be used as floor standing units with or without wheels or on cupboards with trailing plants. They could also be used as they were intended. $395.00 each is a fantastically low amount compared to their cost new. We have two on reserve for an architect but the others are ready to go to who ever gets in first.

12.01.2022 We are well and truly into winter and the lack of rain has really added to the harshness of the air in the morning, with most lawns looking a bit off colour and frost burnt. Its been a very busy couple of months with our usual work load. We have also been very busy with a whole raft of new clients that have now come on board with the purchase of Classic Indoor Plant Hire. Jo was one of the last single operators and his passing was sudden and completely unexpected. We were all... shocked. Deidre his wife and son Damian did a valiant job trying to maintain the business, but after a very stressful 12 months came to the conclusion that they needed to move forward and sell. There are still a few loose ends to tie up out in the field but overall the transition has gone smoothly. The one very important thing that the whole situation brought home to all of us who knew Jo was that its really important to stop and take stock of the day to day more often because that is what we are all given - the day to day and the minute to minute. This hit home even harder with the recent passing of Craig from Wholesale Plants and Products who died unexpectedly at a time when his business was expanding and doing really well. See more

09.01.2022 The moss wall has found its home and looks fantastic. The client was over the moon with the finished product and it has a tremendous presence in the building. Its reasonably priced if put into context with other options. We are always looking at new products to green internal environments so this one is certainly being added to our list of the very latest greening tools.

07.01.2022 We had a client who had seen a Real Moss wall on the net and asked if we could make one. This is the finished product. 1500mm long, 600mm tall and 60mm thick. The frame is American silky oak. The moss is a mid green. It is to be hung in a private residence. There was a great deal of labour involved and the materials used are high end. If you put the cost in context by comparing it to a piece of artwork then its a very cost effective way of adding a real feature in any space wether it be corporate or private. The time frame from order to installation was about 10 weeks, though a large portion of this time was due to the delayed delivery of the moss panels due to a large corporate job in Adelaide taking up a great deal of the stock. If you are interested in this product or having us make a bespoke piece feel free to call.

06.01.2022 I cant believe that the last 6 months has passed without an entry or post. Its been totally frantic, both our long term hire and maintenance and also our short term event hire have both been powering along with no signs of slowing or giving us a break to tidy our vehicles or nursery. Despite the summer flu and gastro we have managed to cover all bases and I commend all of our team for digging deep when required to maintain the quality and reliability of the services we provid...e. The new mall fit out at Westfield Westlakes went really well and looks fantastic, It coincided with Westfield TTP requesting that we take over the maintenance of the newly completed outdoor venue at TTP. We have spruced it up and its looking fantastic. In the not too distant future we will be expanding our range of pot and plant options for both our short and long term hires and stream lining our procedures and protocols to make it even easier for clients to use our services, This will include some updates to our web site. I would like to thank all of our clients for their continued support and loyal patronage and we look forward to growing these relationships into the future. Our success has only been possible because of our loyal customer base and fantastic staff. We will continue to do our utmost to maintain and grow our service and look forward to the challenges of 2019. See more
