01.01.2022 These past few weeks have been by far the toughest of the build so far. Next level hectic, & both physically & emotionally exhausting. ...... And yet here ...he is - STILL single-handedly setting away...... Onsite before the sun rises & still there after it sets (working under floodlights ). Every. Single. Day. (I HATE it, but just try and stop the man when he is on a mission! . All I can do right now is to keep up with the food drops, keep pushing him around on the scaffolding & keep vacuuming up behind him in an attempt to stay sane. ). . . The intricate details of this house have made for s-l-o-w progress - nothing about it is straight forward. Angles, angles, angles, high ceilings, raked ceilings, square set, more angles, more square set, more angles, more raked ceilings ..... every join, every screw hole, every external, every internal ..... three coats, scrape back in between & then FINALLY the big sand off (which is still to come). Plastering is a bloody tough job. . . He lost so much sleep over figuring out how he was going to make this ceiling work & now look at it - it’s a work of beautiful art! (I mean .... I don’t even want to paint it!! ). Well done @dan_planty - the kids & I are so grateful & so proud of you! . .
