19.01.2022 Kindness, inclusion and living by your conscience. When angry or sad or filled with negative energies stop and put yourself on other side. Why and how do we fix this? A beautiful story

19.01.2022 So many of you know PWL was created by a mum of a girl with multiple disAbilities. Her dream was to Plan as Wisely as she could for her daughter and others like her to Live the best, most fulfilling life she and they could. Well 3 years in the making and that dream has come true a number of times already, but today just felt a little more special. Two childhood friends reunited and now a little group of friends, cherishing time together, enjoying laughter and friendship, independent young adults loving life, just the way it should be

16.01.2022 Two of our participants enjoyed catching up together today. It was their second time meeting and the smiles and laughs were like they've been friends for years our amazing carers Kylie and Trish made sure the girls had a great day together with lots of laughs

15.01.2022 Wishing our special person Madi a wonderful 18th Birthday

13.01.2022 Last roundtable meeting with Mr Bill Shorten we spoke about participants of the NDIS and how to make it better. While this is always a core focus, tonight I turned the focus to being a service provider, the difficulties of small businesses battling through the lack of funding and for the recognition of our carers. Thankyou Mr Shorten for taking the time to listen, to speak with us and for offering to work closely with us for future developments. I look forward to working with... you. 12.01.2022 At a breakfast function with Jana Pittman. What an amazing, inspirational woman!! Sharing medical stories of our own times spent as nurse and doctor at western sydney hospitals, discussing life's highs and lows and the positives that come from perceived failures, when in fact they are forks in the road of a life's journey. Never give up on your hopes and dreams

11.01.2022 Have you recently been separated from your family due to a hospital visit or stay? Are you the parent of a special needs child who has had to take your child to hospital and stay with them by yourself and told under Covid restrictions no spouse, partner or support person could be with you? I have recently been through this with my daughter and so have other families. My daughter is now 19 years old and we are now having to educate and advocate in the adult system that it's no...t ok that someone as vulnerable as my daughter (and others like her) is on an adult ward. Just the other night we were in for an admission and there was a code black. Nurses were being attacked - there was a criminal on the ward under guard of 5 men and I was with my daughter on my own and the commotion and screaming of nurses calling a code black was beyond terrifying. This is NOT ok. We need help and support with our kids everyday - moreso in difficult situations such as hospitals. Something needs to be done and NOW. I am commencing a petition and advocacy campaign to allow people with special needs to have 2 support people with them during hospital stays. But I cannot do this alone. Together we will have a better chance of making change. So please send through a message if you would like to join me in this campaign for change. I'll message you back with further details. 05.01.2022 Recently we had the pleasure of being able to have a Windsor Bath installed. We wanted to share our experience as we feel it may be of benefit to many others. https://www.facebook.com/windsorwalkinbaths/ The installation was amazingly simple. Admittedly we didn't have any additional plumbing, we are just using the current shower head to fill the bath. ... The bath itself is wonderful!. The ability for Gabriella to be able to step into the bath and sit up is amazing! The hydro spa jets are great and well placed around the legs, back and side area of the torso. We are able to add radox, magnesium flakes, epsom salts and anything else which helps to alleviate Gabriella's muscle spasms. Surprisingly we have also noticed a big difference in Gabriella's moods every time after she has a bath. She is much more calm, settled and relaxed, much less jittery and sleeps better too! The sales assistant Henk was very friendly, helpful and understanding. He worked closely with us to ensure our purchase and installation were all smooth and completed within a very suitable timeframe. From the time we met Henk to look at the bath, to pick up was just 1 week, fortunately Henk had our chosen bath in stock and just needed to add the hydro spa jets. There is the option to pick up or have delivered to your home. For us personally, Henk and our Windsor Bath has been a valuable purchase and highly therapeutic for Gabriella. For more information, feel free to call Windsor baths on: 1800 983 996 or Henk on: 0455 522 566 or email [email protected] or visit their website: www.windsorbaths.com.au

04.01.2022 Day 3 - could we possibly have any more fun? Awesome day at Livvis Place Kellyville

03.01.2022 Hello everyone!! We hope you are all keeping well. We have been busy in PWL growing a little but also getting ready to launch a new database - for all participants with active service agreements - get ready for an exciting, engaging, personalised portal. This is the biggest development in PWL to date and we're so excited!! In addition to this, we are keeping up with industry changes. So many changes are occurring on a daily basis as we sit and watch the world around us changi...ng under the pandemic of Covid-19. Below is a link to some information you may find helpful. It is about how to receive support from your NDIS funds to access special equipment, in particular Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for carers and participants. If you would like to chat about how this affects you or you need support, clarification or guidance, please reach out. We are help to help you and support you on your journey. Take care everyone. https://www.ndis.gov.au/coronavirus/latest-advice-ndis
