16.01.2022 Large supermarkets with bread and fruit & vegetables were wanting their fresh daily waste to go elsewhere than landfill. They also needed a reliable, consistent collector. Plate to Paddock were able to meet this requirement and established a network of farmers willing to accept food waste. We took responsibility for being there at 6 am without fail and then distributing it to local farms. This has been going for quite some years and has been a local solution to local waste. 07.01.2022 The Little Lost Apricot story Once upon a day on the beautiful Central Coast, a terrible thing happened. 22 tonnes of apricots were being sent to an untimely death. Not because they had done anything bad, or were naughty, but because their owner no longer wanted them. They said they had too many apricots and couldn't possibly keep feeding them by keeping them frozen. Just at the right time, Plate to Paddock were called. Now they knew what to do! They had them brought to... another place where they could stay nice and frozen in a deep sleep while they worked hard to find homes. And so 'The Little Lost Apricot' project was born. Known for their ability to find THE best solutions for all things organic and their ability to draw in collaborators, Plate to Paddock is finding homes. By supporting The Little Lost Apricot, you show you care about not wasting the precious resource of food and also our precious planet.
