The program of events has a focus on disability inclusion in the film and arts industry to mark this year’s International Day Of People With Disability. The event will take place on December 4 at Petersham Town Hall, a live screening of the event will also be available. 06.01.2022 Our Support Workers will provide support to people in our community living with a disability. Platform To’s mission is to give our participants the opportunity to be as independent as possible, to access and integrate into their community and to build skills to achieve their goals. Support Workers will provide support in their day to day lives by assisting and encouraging NDIS participation in daily tasks, social support and promoting daily and community activity participati...on. Support Workers will work closely with the participant and support them to achieve their NDIS plan goals and deliver a person-centred approach, with the participant at the forefront of everything done. Support Workers will enable clients to access a stimulating and diverse range of recreational activities and are supported to learn independent living skills whilst role modelling appropriate and positive behaviours. Strong commitment to inclusion of people with disabilities within the community; Previous experience within disability or a similar field; Excellent communication skills and the demonstrated ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders; Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision; Proven ability to prepare and present written and verbal reports; Be flexible, highly motivated, possess emotional intelligence, maturity, sense of humour and willingness to subscribe to the Platform To mission and values; Current NSW driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach NDIS Worker Screening Check Maintenance of a current first aid certificate
