18.01.2022 Great start to term 3,its been a long time coming! Welcome new students Chiara and Yasmine, great to have you on our team! Id love to start some sparring drills with everyone. Could everyone please bring a mouth guard and gloves with them to class. Eventually everyone will need a full sparring kit (head guard, feet, hands and mouth guard), but these two are a good start. Please let us know if you would like us to order a full kit for you

Term dates, grading information, Green2Black training sessions - its all in TeamApp. Just got the the App Store or Play Store to download. ... Also, Platinum Kelmscott will have students grading this weekend. All our students are welcome to attend; the grading runs 10am to 12pm if youd like to join in or just come along to watch how a grading runs.

03.01.2022 COVID-19 Protocol Platinum Taekwon-Do asks that you act in accordance with Health Department advice ie. If you have any symptoms such as a fever, cough and sore throat seek medical advice, do not come to class and isolate. Maintain proper and frequent hand washing (20 sec with soap) and avoid touching your face as much as possible.... A pro-active action for us at class is that we request that all students and instructors wash their hands on arrival to the dojang. The Australian Institute of Sport currently states: The risk of becoming unwell with COVID-19 without a history of travel to countries listed by the Communicable Diseases Network Australia (CDNA) in the last 14 days is very low. As a result, there are no restrictions on Australians participating in or attending sporting or large public events. If you have travelled to countries listed by the CDNA we ask that you do not return to class until 14 days has passed. We will will continue to review the plan as things change. Thank you all for your support!

Went through a few kicking and sparring drills; - front leg turning kick on bag, mid/high for higher belts - jab reverse, turning kick... - back kick counter to rear leg turning kick. I think we may have a few future champions. Cant wait for next session!

01.01.2022 A bit of a different class tonight. We went over Dojang etiquette, the meaning of each of the 5 tenets of Taekwon-do, and of course a bit of physical training at the end. Its important to understand the teachings of Taekwon-do, as well as the practical . We use these in all aspects of our lives.
