17.01.2022 The RBA has just announced an unprecedented rate cute to a historic low of 0.25% and other quantitative easing measures. Its a scary place out there at the moment, but we will get through it, the markets will rebound like always happens in this 7-10 year cycle. I wanted to share with you an email that was sent to me this morning that i found very poignant. "Heres the deal, folks. Some of the toughest humans I know are anxious and afraid right now, so its more than okay i...f you are too. Ive fallen in a few holes myself this week. Why? This is uncharted waters for the WHOLE PLANET medically, financially, and socially. Change isnt our cup of tea and kegs of it are coming. Let it be okay if youre afraid, stressed, happy or sad right now or anything else. Feel what you feel. It doesnt make you any less spiritual, actualized or woke (I want to punch myself in the face for even using that word). To say otherwise is irresponsible. I find it interesting those who sell smoke and mirrors are doubling down on sales right now by trying to shame your feelings. How gross. Look, if your house was on fire I wouldnt have you skip around clapping your hands ignorantly pretending it wasnt. Or worse, tell you fairy dust and yummy sunshine vibes will put the blaze out. Nor would I scream in your face until you froze from shock. This is neither the time to bypass nor panic. Guess what? Our collective house is indeed on fire and there are still a few rooms with old newspaper and half full gas cans sitting in the corners. Its time to take some deep breaths, stay grounded and calmly get the fuck out of the building and wait to see what unfolds next. Now is the time to be vigilant about our own contributions to calm and chaos. Remember the parable about the dude stuck on his roof during the flood waiting for a sign from God, but ignoring the boat, helicopter, and other rescue means? Hes us. The boat is your calm. The helicopter your sense of self. The other rescue means are the people around you. Theyre all here for you right now. Please use them and share them. 03.01.2022 Covid-19 Coronavirus update from Platinum Financial Planning To our valued clients, friends and partners, I am sure that you have been inundated with emails, updates, breaking news etc etc but there is no doubt that we are living through truly historic times right now, the most important part is that we will all get through this, together.... As a business, we, at this point do not have any case of Coronavirus in our office via our staff nor our families. Should this change we have solid contingency plans in place to limit the effects of this. For those of you have upcoming face to face appointments in our office can we please ask that if you have any cold/flu symptoms, or feel unwell that you contact our office to reschedule your appointment or arrange a skype/zoom/phone appointment. We will continue to stay in contact as the situation develops, taking our guidance from the key decision makes in the state. Stay safe and take all necessary precautions out there.
