29.12.2021 Opened in 1927, the Paringa Bridge is one of only four lift span bridges still operating on the Murray River. Originally designed for road and rail traffic, the... historic lift span bridge and associated railway have played an important role in local communications, especially during times of flood. The rail section is now a pedestrian walkway that forms a part of the Renmark area's Tracks and Trails network.
