23.01.2022 LOCKDOWN LOVE DAY 9 - Friday 14 August 2020 We're celebrating a person, business or group every day of this 6 week VIC lockdown! We're a little behind but catching up! This lockdown loveheart is for "Shane and the beautiful team" at @piccolopod !!... The nomination comes from Sally and Timmo Currie. They're currently living in Darwin but are missing their daily pod fix!! The pod is such an awesome example of a thriving local business that brings our community together over a shared love for all things caffeinated! Keep up the amazing job guys. 16.01.2022 Zoe Foster Blake put up a story last week with 42 heart emojis, one for every day of this Stage 3 and 4 lockdown. We absolutely love this sentiment because it's so true that feeling and showing love every day for the next 6 weeks will be what gets us through So we stole the idea ... But as people that consider ourselves relatively arty and/or farty (it's about a 70/30 split), we thought we should get a bit creative with it! "Jedda is a small business owner trying to keep afloat during this pandemic, while supporting other small businesses and individuals in the region through her shop. She opens up her business to small craft groups (when not in Stage 3 lockdown) and is worried for the mental health of some of those people who currently cannot attend. At the same time she is donating to the community where she can. Currently collecting mask extenders from her small band of crafters and donating them to our emergency service workers free of charge. She also collects funds for Border Trust, with many of the mask makers donating their profits to Border Trust, Albury Women's Shed and other local organisations. At the same time she is trying to home school her son while running her business. Jedda is a well deserving recipient" How amazing!! See more
