Our menu items include Kangaroo damper sliders with bush tomato relish, Crocodile with quandong chutney and indigenous greens salad on flat damper, Lemon myrtle panna cotta with finger lime syrup and Cinnamon myrtle custard filo cigars with Davidson plum syrup. 17.01.2022 Our teachers finished this year with a PD opportunity at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort! It was a lovely day engaging with industry, colleagues and hearing from guest speakers who confirmed that our training is preparing our students for the various roles and opportunities in the hospitality and tourism industry. We were also treated to a guided BOH and FOH site tour of the hotel facilities with their in house event planner. We know for a lot of our students and families this is a very scary, frustrating and uncertain time especially in terms of schooling and achieving your educational goals! Mrs Pulou, Mrs Holmes and the rest of the Hospitality staff at Platters on Willow, RPSHS, are here to help you in whatever way possible. We will carry on with our learning through IVET and TAFE o...nline portals to maintain the norm into term 2. In these changing times it is important to continue to grow and build your knowledge, work ethic and practice your technical skills whilst at home to continue to develop and refine your talent. For now we wish you all a restful early break as schools embrace student free days starting next Monday. Love to you all, Kara & Stephanie Ps. we have been brewing some lemon myrtle and Aniseed myrtle tea from our garden this week, putting our bush medicine knowledge into practice: antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral, energising and vitamin C just to name a few health benefits. Simply pick, wash and scrunch up some leaves in a cup or pot and pour boiled water and steep for 3 minutes and enjoy.
11.01.2022 Taste and Sip | On Friday our trainers had the opportunity to attend a professional development session at Wolston Farmhouse where they explored the histories, steeping methods and service techniques for a range of teas as delivered by the wonderful Tour de Tea. Our students will be providing Wolston Farmhouse with a range of dampers (sweet and savoury), smoked butters and native jams (ie strawberry gum jam) for their Devonshire tea menu.
