04.01.2022 Had a great afternoon viewing the local Raptors :) love these birds of prey they are such cool characters, the way they look back at you as if to say this is my river respect it , 4 species in total ,first was a juvenile White Bellied Sea Eagle then a couple of Osprey guarding their eyry [nests] . Then another great find and I think from my searches its a Grey Falcon or possibly a Australian Hobby not real sure on this ID my pic really doesnt match any that Ive found on the net or in my Simpson and Day Field guide [please correct me if Im wrong]. Then to finish off was a beautiful Brahminy Kite , its amazing what you can see if you go looking . The upper reaches of the Pioneer river is a special place and needs to be looked after.
