22.01.2022 There is nothing we love more than seeing our kits in use in your homes. We can only imagine the growing, learning and skill building that is happening. Here at Play with Elorias we are so passionate about creating kid champions. Kids who grow to be kind, caring, compassionate, resilient, strong, confident and all those other wonderful things. These qualities grow and develop and nurture inside our children and really cement themselves through play. We are so humbled that y...ou decided to allow us to be apart of this journey for your child. Do your kids love to sensory play?

19.01.2022 We often get asked a lot about the types of trays that we use when we are sensory playing. In short there is no right answer to this and depends solely on what you have on hand and how many kids are playing. I have never looked for anything specific for sensory play and usually when I am out and happen to stumble upon something that I think will work I will grab it. As long as it doesn’t have holes in it and quiet deep sides then it will be perfect. I am very partial to the K...-mart trays with handles and find these perfect for sensory play for one or two of my kids. If all three of them insist on plaything that we use the tuff tray, however this is a much, much bigger tray. I have also used tupperware containers, containers from the supermarket and even the long, shallow containers that slide under the bed. They have all worked perfectly and just as well as each other. So if you think that you need to have the perfect container to begin sensory play, please don’t. You will definitely have something at home that is more than sufficient. Our littles don’t care what kind of container they get to play with, they are just happy to be playing. Gorgeous snap by the lovely @growing_our_tribe

06.01.2022 Jigsaw puzzles. One of my favourite tools to teach perseverance, patience and the power of achievement as a reward. We are so big on Jigsaw puzzles in this household. Pax absolutely loves them and it’s a great opportunity for us to bond with her. Pax has just turned three and can, with a little bit of guided help, achieve a 30 piece jigsaw puzzle. I have had a lot of people over the last week ask how to introduce their children to puzzles. So I thought I would give my top th...ree tips. The best way to gage interest is to have a jigsaw puzzle about something that they are genuinely interested in. A child who loves monsters is more likely to want to complete a puzzle about monsters than a puzzle about puppies and therefore remaining engaged for longer. When starting with the ‘next level’ puzzle it helps to set it up as an invitation to make it achievable from the start. If they can't achieve success they will quickly lose interest. With Pax sometimes we will complete the outside and leave the other pieces for her or we will put three pieces together, leaving the rest to her. Always over praise every time they complete the puzzle, especially if it has been particularly challenging. This teaches children that by persevering, even when things get challenging and difficult, there is reward. Do your kids love puzzles? We have such a beautiful range of puzzles available online, but these 3d ones take it to a whole new level.
05.01.2022 Who has a little dinosaur lover? Ryder has never really been interested in dinosaurs, which broke my biology teacher heart. Alby now has no choice but to be totally obsessed with dinosaurs because, who doesn’t love all the dinosaur things (and lets not talk about the land before time).... Our beautiful dinosaur kits are selling fast and are available on our website.
03.01.2022 The other day I picked something up in the garage and a bloody cockroach ran out in front of me. I hate cockroaches... like hate, hate them. They freak me out and give me the shivers. Alby on the other hand is not afraid of any of them. He will pick up any bug and is guaranteed to either try and eat it or pull the legs off of it. ... Do you have a bug lover?
02.01.2022 Pre-orders for our Australiana sensory kits close for the very last time tonight at midnight. Make sure if you want one that you secure yours before they do close.
