25.01.2022 Today Kindy & Pre Prep built cardboard castles. They were so excited and proud of their creations and asked to spend rest time outside in their Castle, so thats what we did!

15.01.2022 Introducing our Community Library This week we are participating in the 2020 Premiers Reading Challenge. We thought it was the perfect opportunity to set up our Community Library. If you have any old books that no longer spark joy, please bring them in to share with others and take a new book.

15.01.2022 !!! CAUTION !!! ~Builders in Training~ "Concrete. I need Concrete!" One of our Kindy children exclaimed! ... So concrete is what we made. A little bit of cornflour + sand and a splash of water and the children made their own version of concrete. They used this mixture to glue together their bricks AKA Duplo blocks. Its amazing what children can do with a little imagination and support.

15.01.2022 Jumping into Spring with a SPLASH! Children gravitate to water.. it speaks to them. Here at Underwood Play and Learn we provide opportunities for children to explore water safely. Our Service is equipped with 2 misters, for children of all ages to crawl, jump and splash in. Down our big end we have a dry/wet creek bed with functioning pump as well a tapped mud kitchen built into our sandpit.

14.01.2022 Fire Drill! This afternoon we all participated in our monthly drill. The children love this experience as it allows us to discuss fire safety, road safety and emergency services.

12.01.2022 Tomorrow we are supporting "R U Okay?" Day. As Early Childhood Educators we are continuously encouraging and giving children the tools to express how they are feeling. BUT, as adults there is often a stigma around us expressing our emotions or talking about how we feel. Tomorrow, and every day after, I encourage you to be role models for your children and ask someone "Are You Okay?"
