22.01.2022 PLAY BADMINTON RE-OPENING Monday 22nd June! We are so excited to see you back on court. Below are our COVID-19 SAFE GUIDELINES created in consultation with Maribyrnong Sports Academy. 1. The Courts have been divided into two separate areas. Courts 1, 2 & 3 are located in Badminton Space 1 and Courts 4, 5 & 6 are located in Badminton Space 2.... 2. Each separate Badminton space to have no more than 20 people at any given time. No spectators permitted. 3. Players must remain within their designated court area whether that is Court 1, 2 & 3 or Court 4, 5 & 6. Bathrooms will be accessible. 4. There are separate entry/exit points for each separate badminton space. This will be signed for your reference. Please check with reception staff if you are unsure where to go. Any patrons hiring Court 1, 2 & 3 (Badminton space 1) must enter/exit the door way at far left. Any patrons hiring Courts 4, 5 & 6 (badminton space 2) must enter the doorway at far right. 5. You will be required to complete an attendance register upon arrival. This should be a simple process of scanning a QR code with your phone, and providing contact details electronically. If you need help, please see reception staff. 6. There will be no access to drinking fountains. We recommend you bring your own drink bottles. 7. When Booking online, please ensure you fill in main contact name and phone number in the system for the booking. 8. Hand hygiene is expected. Sanitiser will be kept at entry / exit points. 9. There will be no racket hire at this time. Shuttle Tubes will be available for purchase.

19.01.2022 The Federal Government yesterday announced stage 1 restrictions on social gatherings in response to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. This announcement included the closing of all gyms and indoor sporting venues. To adhere to these restrictions, Play Badminton will now be closed until further notice. While we do not know when we will able to take the court again, any updates will be provided via our website and social media. For further details on how this affects the badmin...ton community, please read Badminton Australia's media release. Please stay safe, and we look forward to getting back on court once the situation allows.

13.01.2022 Play Badminton is CLOSED: In line with advice from the Victorian Chief Health Officer, the Victorian Government has announced that a number of Victorian postcodes will return to Stage 3 Stay at Home restrictions from 11.59pm on Wednesday 1 July 2020. This decision was made in response to increasing evidence of significant community transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19) in these postcodes. ... Play Badminton falls under the postcode of 3032, and so we advise that we will be closed again. Stay safe everyone. Restrictions will be in place until at least 29 July, 2020.
