17.01.2022 Books are our friends!! According to the EYLF outcome 4, children are enthusiastic and curious learners. Books are a great tool to help children learn, create and discover new things. This week we have been celebrating all the goodness that comes from books and illustrations! We had some pretty cute characters.... It’s never too early to read to your little ones and expose them to the benefits of early literacy!
14.01.2022 Today is educators day! The staff are lucky enough to enjoy a breakfast buffet before starting another day of education. This year has been a challenge and as educators, we have been on the frontline during this scary time but we haven’t allowed that to stop us from providing an environment that is warm, inviting and educational. Each day the staff go above and beyond to create a welcoming, nurturing environment full of love, laughter, education and care! Please join me in thanking the amazing Playbright team for all that they do.

In each room we also created experiences from books that are read frequently to the children that brought the books to life! - "When staff show enthusiasm for reading and enjoyment in using books for fun and learning, children will develop a love for books and reading (MacNaughton & Williams, 2004)
09.01.2022 With an anticipated visit from the dentist coming up our Bottle brush Educators and Children engaged in an experiment exploring how different food we eat can impact our teeth. The educators discussed how healthy food choices can protect our teeth from decay and germs. In the experiment various liquids were used on eggs shells to demonstrate the effect of liquids on teeth. The eggs will be kept in jars in the room so we can observe and monitor the effects longer term.

Today the children wore yellow in support of R U OK Day and participated in activities such as mindful and relaxing colouring in sheets, and play dough mats with statements like make a friend for the boy in the park or use your play dough to create a smile.
