23.01.2022 A huge thank you for all of your support this week. The community has shown us that we are essential! Our trading hours for tomorrow (Saturday 28th) are 8am-12pm. Come in and grab a takeaway coffee or that delicious egg benny, take it home, Netflix and chill!

19.01.2022 WE ARE ESSENTIAL.... For this point in time anyways! Trav has chased it up, and we are allowed to still serve takeaway food and coffee! Bonus! So, in saying that, we ask you to think before you act, if you are feeling unwell or are self isolating, please stay home, you're being a hero and saving people by doing so. We are still keeping up with our sanitising schedule and we also have hand sanitiser at our counter for you to use. ... If you need us to deliver your food or coffee to your car, please call ahead, and we are more than happy to help. 19.01.2022 Hello Playfish peeps As these very trying times are placed upon us, it is with extremely heavy hearts that Trav & I have made the decision to place Playfish into hibernation to coincide with the latest restrictions. Playfish will be shut for 2 weeks. Trav & I believe we need to do the right thing by the community and stay home to help fight the good fight. But we will be back. We have and always will appreciate the extremely high level of support all your patronage has broug...ht us through this devastating times. We will be closed from the 15th of April and reopen on the 29th of April. It is with great sadness that this decision has been made. But we will return Thankyou for undivided support. 16.01.2022 The time has come. We are going to be opening on Saturdays again! We are very unsure with how it will turn out for us, so just for now Saturdays trading hours will be 8am-12pm. Still only takeaways available a little secret though, Trav's Egg and Bacon Toasties are pretty amazing! Ring up, place an order, take home and devour. We really appreciate you all transitioning with us and trying to find our groove.

12.01.2022 We're taking the long weekend as a little break to recharge. Fingers crossed restrictions don't change and we will see you all Wednesday morning for our coffee fix!

11.01.2022 Everyone who knows Playfish knows it isn't just about getting your coffee for the day. For most people it's catching up with friends and family. We are a community based cafe. So with the extension of the North West restrictions, we have decided to remain closed until the retail lockdown has been lifted. We wish you all to stay home and stay healthy. Look forward to catching up in the hopefully near future.

11.01.2022 Here's our menu! We are happy to cater for your needs, happy for anyone to call up and place an order and we can either deliver to your cars like a drive through service, or try your luck with our small team, we may even be able to deliver around local Devonport.

10.01.2022 The new "normal" trading of takeaways will still remain for Playfish for the next few weeks until we are able to have 20 people seated at a time in our cafe. We believe by only having 10 at a time will be difficult for us to achieve. Once we eventually get the 20 seats available (which is almost back to 100% service for us) we will be back open on Saturdays. Sorry for any inconveniences, hopefully won't be too much longer of a wait.

06.01.2022 Another update! We have gone completely takeaway. Unfortunately now cafes are unable to have customers dine in with us. But don't worry, we can make anything off our menu takeaway. We have a beautiful courtyard out the back where you can wait and also we have made a little space for customers to wait out the front. We have also gone drive through service. If you would like to call us before and place your order, we are happy to deliver to your car, but we are only accepting eftpos. Thank you again for everyone that is still supporting us, so much appreciation.

04.01.2022 Very exciting news! As of Monday the 4th of May we will be open! We are so excited to get back into it. We would like to thank you all for your support on our decision to have been closed for the last 3 weeks, and as we are all aware, the fight still isn't over. So in saying that, we still need to be aware of our social distancing and we will still only be offering a takeaway service until notified. It's coming into winter, it's going to get cold, so we will be trying to ut...ilise our space so the winter chills won't scare anybody away. Our trading hours will be Monday-Friday, 7am-2pm. Closed Saturdays, just until we are allowed to have you sit inside and dine with us. See more

03.01.2022 We have had our little cafe nearly back to full capacity for a couple of weeks now, and we have noticed everyday a huge turn over of customers. We are so very greatful for the local support! Thank you to you all. We do however really recommend booking a table if you are wanting to dine in with us, whether it be for food, or a bigger booking than 6 people just for coffee. Just a quick reminder, you're more than welcome to give us a call on 64241180 and order (and pay with eftpos if you like) over the phone, let us know who you are and we can bring your order to you in your car. Tomorrow is our last day of the year until the 11th of January. We are so very greatful for everyone's support, it's been a different kind of year that's for sure.
