25.01.2022 From brown to bright. To further explain each image - all the tables have two pictures here, the first is the spray paint only and the second is the one showing the painted details on it. Sorry for the confusion. Oops.

25.01.2022 A new month, and the faithfulness of God is as steadfast as ever. This week Cameron Burr reflects on the parable of the talents and encourages us to value and put to good use the gifts given to us by God. Such gifts are only of value when they are put to use! This week’s online ministry may be found here: https://vimeo.com/464534008

24.01.2022 It’s official: Christmas is nigh!

24.01.2022 Our online ministry for this week is now available via the link below - and even has a guest appearance from Shaun the Sheep Jo reflects on what it is to be the one sheep who has wandered and become lost, and equally what it is to be one of the ninety nine left to fend for themselves while the one lost sheep has the attention of the shepherd. This week’s ministry can be found here: https://vimeo.com/455029819

23.01.2022 Jo Smith delivered a beautiful and poignant sermon last Sunday, which I copy below with Jo's permission. It is too good to keep to ourselves, so I (Bishop Tim) encourage you to share it with others: JOINING GOD’S ETERNAL LOVE SONG John 3:16 is perhaps the biggest celebrity in the world of Bible verses. It’s like one of those famous singers who is so famous they are known only by their first name. John 3:16, Cher, Madonna, Adelethat’s how well known it is....Continue reading

22.01.2022 Imagine that your life resembles a mess of jigsaw pieces, with a few sections joined here and there, but otherwise lacking coherence or a clear picture of how i...t all should come together. And then imagine a sudden breakthrough, where the central pieces and wider framework come together. Much still remains unformed, but the overall shape and form is locked in. That image resembles my reading of Acts 2 - key pieces of God's mission plan come together, and the essential framework of faith is securely identified. NOVA Church Online this week identifies one key verse in particular, a verse we contend unlocks the essential truths that brings coherence to Christian faith and belief. See more

22.01.2022 Greetings one and all, This week we have reached the fifth Sunday in Easter, and as we continue with our exploration of Acts 1-11 we recognise the one and onl...y name that gives our faith, life and ministry any relevance and power: the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Such an important truth, and an even greater privilege. Like the lame man in Acts 3, may we find our feet and rise up in praise and worship!

21.01.2022 Greetings all. While we may be very limited in international travel just at the moment, but this week we take a brief ‘visit’ to Philippi and explore the distinctive features of that city. We find encouragement in Paul’s words to ‘stand firm’, especially when we experience pressure to go with the flow in following others. This week’s online ministry may be found here: https://vimeo.com/459712006

21.01.2022 Our journey through Advent is almost concluded, and our anticipation of the arrival of Jesus the baby (at least as we recall it) is almost here. The new 'enhanced' version of 'Joy to the world' is a particular highlight. Please find our online service for this week available here:

19.01.2022 Coasters for the tables. Eucalyptus gum branch cross cut (after drying for 15 months). Spray painted and then some in their natural colour, some with details painted in and some as is. All will have felt on the bottom so there’s less scratching on the table surfaces. #studiorq #studiorqdesign

19.01.2022 This week we explore one of the New Testament's rich passages - Philippians 2:1-13. we trust our online ministry will be an encouragement to all who engage with it. https://vimeo.com/462160531

19.01.2022 Greetings! Good things come for those who have waited patiently. Advent is almost concluded, and Christmas Eve is nearly upon us. This is not a season to set aside our worries and concerns and pretend they don’t exist it is a season to find light and hope in the midst of disruption and even distress. While our face to face gathering will occur to this evening at Holy Cross at 7pm, we are aware that many will be unable to come out. We are also conscious that the numbers who ...are in a position to come out to a midnight service are diminishing, and we are pleased to see the Sudanese youth ministry making good use of Holy Cross later this evening. Much effort has been put into this Christmas Eve online ministry by the team and I have to say, it really is something special. And the music all I can say is wow! They have delivered something tremendous such an uplifting ministry of encouragement! The service has been developed around celebrating the Lord’s Supper, following the traditional order of a midnight service of Holy Communion. We trust you are ministered to by God and the angels, wherever you are this Christmas Eve and please, please considered passing this on to family and friends. It’s easy to share! Grace and peace, in special measure this Christmas! https://vimeo.com/494300491

18.01.2022 The tables at church have had an upcycle facelift! This was a heap of fun to do

17.01.2022 Greetings all. While continuing with our series on Movements of the Holy Spirit in Acts 1-11 (this week reflecting on the great vignette of the life of the earl...y church in Acts 2:42-47), we will also be observing ANZAC DAY. Core gospel motifs of sacrifice, reconciliation and generosity integrate all of the above. We will be reviewing in the near future how we might modify how we shape NOVA Church Online going into the future, and welcome your input over what you like, what we might drop or modify, and other possibilities we might consider including including more contributors. Let us know your thoughts.

17.01.2022 Greetings one and all! We trust you are keeping safe and well. Advent is a season of hope and assurance of faith, in that we are reminded of the promises of God, past, present and future! Please find the link our online ministry for this week below, where we reflect on the faithfulness of God through any and every situation. We pray it will be an encouragement.

16.01.2022 This coming Sunday we will be celebrating Holy Cross Day with a special service at Holy Cross @ 9:30am. We have a robust CovidSafe plan enacted, and as a result of strong advice from SA Health, we (sadly!) no-longer have congregational singing - but we do have a ministry of music nonetheless! You will be warmly welcomed - in an appropriately physically-distanced way! Ginger bread and shortbread 'cross' cookies (in shape, not attitude!) will be available, home cooked by our in-house baker and individually wrapped. We encourage all who are able to join us this coming Sunday, and bring along friends and family (93 Elizabeth Way, Elizabeth).

12.01.2022 Our online ministry for this week is now available. "Get behind me Satan!" must rank as one of the all-time major rebukes. Followed by the call to follow Jesus in lives where self-interest is set aside, Matthew 16 contains some profound, yet life-giving challenges. We conclude with an Aussie version of The Blessing. https://vimeo.com/452842107

07.01.2022 UPDATED & CORRECTED Note: If the 'Tim Harris' profile page comes up, with two options (activities / videos) select 'videos' Greetings of the new year and a new decade! To all who follow our ministry online, please note that we are taking a break from the weekly pre-recorded online ministry through January, returning online Jan. 31. In the meantime, feel free to explore our extensive archive that is available here: https://vimeo.com/user7138062

05.01.2022 Greetings one and all, A number of our songs or hymns include lines like ‘I give you my all’ and even more challengingly ‘Love so amazing, so divine, demands my... soul, my life, my all.’ In our NOVA ministry online this week we reflect on the life, death and witness of Stephen where we see a commitment that moves well beyond words to the realities of martyrdom. Sadly, this is as much true of our own age as in earlier times yet we see the Holy Spirit moving in and through such awful events to see the mission of the kingdom progress nonetheless. Much to reflect on and cause for deeper prayer and confidence.

03.01.2022 Advent greetings to all, Please find below the link to our online ministry for this week, the second Sunday of Advent. I have also attached for your interest an information sheet outlining our various pre-Christmas and Christmas Eve and Day services. Please note that there will be a special online edition of our Christmas Eve service, with carols, readings and reflections.... Online service for December 6, 2020: https://vimeo.com/487568061

03.01.2022 This week we explore a precious gospel jewel - the peace of God which is more profound than anything human minds or capacity can come up with. https://vimeo.com/466861643

02.01.2022 A special celebration this week as we observe the Festival of Holy Cross, with some familiar, yet no less profound passages to reflect on. https://vimeo.com/457269172

02.01.2022 What an extraordinary few days this has been! As our Chief Public Health Officer Professor Nicola Spurrier has said, we are not out of the woods yet. While our ‘hard lockdown’ will come to an end at midnight tomorrow night (technically 11.59pm Saturday!), we will still be under a range of restrictions and appropriate caution. Fr Piers and I have discussed this changing situation, and decided it would be prudent to stay with the most recent plan and not reopen our churches (Holy Cross or St. Catherine’s) this coming Sunday. All being well we hope to resume public worship (albeit within SA Health requirements) the following Sunday (Nov. 29). Yet be assured that we are still active, and our online ministry will continue as normal this Sunday, and will include the observance and commemoration of Saint Catherine of Alexandria.

01.01.2022 A special edition of our online ministry after an extraordinary week here in SA, with a warm welcome from all the 'Harris bubble'! We are not meeting face to face, so it is as important as ever to keep in touch, whether those closer at hand or those further afield. We pray this ministry, as we celebrate 'Christ the King', will be an encouragement to all. https://vimeo.com/481966754
