23.01.2022 COVID-19: How we are responding Wednesday 25 March 2020 Last night, our Prime Minister announced further social distancing measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. More than ever, we need to work together to stop the spread. This has impacted more Council services and facilities and also areas of the city where people connect and get together. ... OUTDOOR SPACES We must ask our community to play their part and avoid gathering in our outdoor recreation spaces, including: Playgrounds Skate parks Dog parks BBQ areas Outdoor sporting equipment areas You will notice floodlighting will be switched off at our sport and recreation facilities (including skate parks and tennis courts) in order to not encourage people gathering. FACILITIES There will also be further temporary closures to the following facilities: Uleybury School Museum Uley Road Hall One Tree Institute The Stretton Centre - will only remain open as a work site for co-workers and Council staff. The library and room hire will be unavailable. Healthy Food Co at Elizabeth Downs will close, however a ‘click and collect’ service will operate from our Healthy Food Co site at The Precinct in Smithfield Plains from Monday 30 March.
