25.01.2022 Playford Lakes Golf Results Sunday 06/09/2020 Stableford Another absolute cracker of a day for the start of spring and a busy day on the course for Fathers Day.... With the warmer days upon us, people are definitely making the most of the extra run on the course looking at the scoring. Even with the sand on the greens from being cored the ball is still rolling well. After todays Win, I am sure Kosta would have been heading down to the shops to buy Nicole a balaklava for being a burglar. 24.01.2022 Playford Lakes Golf Results Saturday 05/09/2020 Stroke - Monthly Medal Stroke Foundation Fundraiser... Well, the weather turned it on for us today with 68 players getting out for a hit. The results definitely showed we have had some warm weather with the fairwarys getting firm and the greens having been cored getting ready for club championships. What a day and some great involvement by the members for the Stroke Foundation Fundraiser where were were able to raise around $1000 (still being finalised). I will add a futher post on this shortly along with the raffle results. 24.01.2022 Playford Lakes Golf Results Tuesday 3/11/2020 Stableford The first Tuesday of November brings the race that stops a nation in Melbourne.... At Playford Lakes, we had a stableford event where we had a bolter from the field finding some form with one of our fillies taking home the win over the rest of the field. To complete the trifecta we had a couple of wylie stayers on her tail who couldn't quite run her down. 23.01.2022 In absolutely horrible conditions Thursday one of our members managed shot of the day at the Port Augusta Golf Classic. To set the scene: 149m par 3 Wind Blowing Rain... Surrounded by bunkers Just miserable conditions Out came the 7 iron With a pure swing off the ball went 2 bounces, a bit of CHECK and in the hole. Followed by many chants of "Here's The Biiiiiiiiiiiiiig Show". Congtatulations to Marc Burrows on your very first hole in one. Even after the celebations, you won't forget this one.

After a turn at the start of the week it was great to see David Marchesi out walking the course today and Mike popping out and the end of the round also. Great to see. Congratulations to Rob Hancock for an Eagle on 13. Well done mate The day started with the Foursomes and some close results and what can also be called a flogging in footy terms. 22.01.2022 Sunday saw a large group of our members head out to play scrapes instead of greens and support Two Wells Golf Club Open Day. We are proud of our members for such a good turn out showing support and some great results to top it all off. Managing to keep the Open Day Champion a Playford Lakes member, the Mighty Mouse himself Dale Elleray was able to "STAND TALL" and hold off a chasing Jarrad Hughes. Well played both of you.... Great to see the Playford with the 1 and 2 for the Mens Open. The Playford form continued into the Ladies with Jackie "the fish" Evans being too strong for the field and running away with the won from Aimee Feltham. Chalk 1 up to Aunty Jackie. Another Playford 1 and 2 which is an awesome result considering most of our players needed lessons on scrapes before the game. Well done again to all.

22.01.2022 Playford Lakes Golf Results Tuesday 18/08/2020 Stroke Well, the winter weather is back but that didn't make the scoring harder.... Somehow, after watching this guy play on Saturday John Boomer blitzed his way around the course to take out the day woth a nett 65. Thankfully he did that Tuesday instead of Saturday, could have been expensive for his playing partners otherwise. Frank Fidransky, Jarrad Hughes, Steve Mayes and Dale Elleray had a good crack by breaking their handicaps, but Boomer was too good on the day. In the end, the final has come down to: Malcolm and Jean Evans vs Barry Carney and Dave Haddington. There were some good scores while others found it tough going. The results have been uploaded with the winners of the day being "The Twins" Bennie Hanselman and Danny Welsh just in front of Terry and Brodie Nathan. With a pairs event, there were no birdies to be paid out. 15.01.2022 Hi all, In light of the most recent Covid updates, golf is back from Sunday. There will still be some restrictions as listed below... Please be aware that the Golf Club doesn't have an agreed booking on Sundays with BTM. Any booking time on the clubs sheet may not be accurate as there will also be public golfers having a hit for exercise aswell and all players are to respect this. BTM have kindly provided guidelines for following few weeks which all members and players must abide to: No competitions are to be held No handling of flags Bunker rakes have been removed so consider all bunkers as GUR. Ball washers have been covered to prevent use Sand buckets are now situated in the Pro Shop and must be returned after use for disinfecting No alcohol allowed on the course When drinking around club house you must remain seated No more than 10 people allowed around a table

Looking at the scores this combined with cored and sanded greens has definitely improved some people games. We welcomed back for a hit a former course manager and pennant player who is a member of Grange now. Looking at the score, the course won out on the day. Well done to Alan Malpass who was up and about after finding some form to beat the field home and take out the win with a nett 66. I'm sure he would have celebrated with a cup of tea. Mike and his friend Michael who isn't a member, to be honest doesn't even play golf have done a great job on the table today for all to enjoy. 13.01.2022 Playford Lakes Golf Results Saturday 14/11/2020 Stroke - Medal of Medalists Saturday saw some good scoring out on the course.... With it being US Masters week, Gary "dressed" Hawkins rocked up in his Masters Greens to take out the day with a good return to form in the way of a nett 64. This was also the medal of medalist round for 2020 with the last qualifier in Jamie Clarbull doing enough to win. He has called it lucky, as the winners of the 2 missed medal days where we played stableford during covid restrictions, both shot lower but didn't qualify due to monthly medals cancelled during that period. Well done Jamie Ola Clarbull. Former member and Drummond Enfields David Ryles returned to his roots for a hit and to socialise afterwards. As more information comes to light, and with BTM correspondence we will keep you updated. ... Unfortunately we have also had to cancel our Presentation night at Central Districts Football Club (Uuuuu Dogs) due to be held on Saturday the 28th of November due to restrictions on group bookings also being imposed. 05.01.2022 SA Public Pennant Update Playford Lakes For the first time, we had 3 teams representing Playford in all Divisions and the first time we have also had a lady play. Having 3 teams opens up the opportunities and shows the club is strong and inclusive and heading the right way.... First up I would like to thank all players for the way they played the game and the spirit it was played. Secondly, thank you to Nicole Clarke, Kostas Mum and Aunty for putting together a feast which had to feed 50+ people with the additional team this year, awesome work. The reponse from both our team and North Adelaide was all positive. Pretty sure everyone had a full belly. Thank you also to Neville Todd for his time on the course as our referee. The above has been echoed by North Adelaides Pennant Manager who emailed us last night thanking us for our hospitality and that they all enjoyed the day. Awesome feedback. Thanks again to all players, caddies, caterers, supporters and Matt working on the day. People have to give up their personal time to represent and support our club, which is great to see. Now, for the results: Division 1 We had a crack, with some close games going down to the last couple of holes. With a couple of new faces this season I think you are in for a good season. 05.01.2022 Playford Lakes Golf Results Tuesday 29/12/2020 Par As a reminder to everyone, the Tuesday competition is just that, a Tuesday Club Competition. This competition is open to ALL members no matter what age, handicap etc.... With the holiday period in full swing we saw a larger than normal field for our regular Tuesday Competition. Due to the number of players we ended up with 3 grades rather than the usual 1 grade. In A Grade, Kosta got off to a flyer being 3 under through the first 4 and ended up taking the win from Shane Grigg B Grade saw David Feltham have round of the day being +5 with Danny Welsh and David Kenchington on his tail at +4. Arriving at the course to tee off with a blanket of fog making it hard to see more than 100m in front of you making it a fun tee shot off the first. A good field turned up with a lot of public players also making the most of the weather and and hitting the course. With a return to form today (other than some tree trouble in a previous post) Mighty Mouse played some good golf with a hot putter to take out the day. He must have had an extremely good round dropping off as his handicap didn't change. This charity is close to so many people inside and outside of the club.... 02.01.2022 Playford Lakes Golf Results Saturday 15/08/2020 Par Today saw a field of 63 turn up and tackle everyones favourite game.... The leaderboard was tight at the top across all grades. It was good to see the tee blocks tightened and the pins moved around into some tough spots which helps protect areas of the tees and greens from too much traffic in the same spot. The toughest part of the day for Colin Swain was his brute power :) that left his ball embedded in a tree as can be seen in an earlier post and Tara finding out today the reason the fence is on the 6th (hitting that cost a round of drinks).
