25.01.2022 Do you know we love feedback? Why you might ask? Well, feedback helps us grow and learn, it helps us make changes, it helps us strive to do things even better.... if our school community has some feedback that they would like to make, then why not ring the school, make an appointment, speak to the relevant person, ensure your voice is heard, and your feedback is received.... What we dont like.... is people using our social media pages, to share their feedback, without giving... us, the people who can listen, hear and inevitably action the feedback the chance to do so... We respectfully remind our school community, that if you have a concern, an issue or wish to share an idea, then take the time to contact us, and have your concerns heard. What we wont accept, is using our social media platforms to share your concerns, issues or ideas, without having taken proactive measures first.... Lets celebrate all the great things that Playford Primary School achieve via our social media platforms. Just to make it clear, those who post negative or defamatory comments, without first having made an appointment with the school, will be removed from the page. COVID-19 has presented many challenges this year.... we have never experienced a world wide pandemic before, so we are doing our absolute best to normalise schooling for our students and comply with all health and DfE requirements without a rule book to follow. We thank and appreciate our school community for supporting us as we continue to forge ahead and make the best decisions for your children and their education. We hope the students have a relaxing weekend after a fun filled, yet tiresome Sports Day... See you all Monday! Jason Sheehy Principal

25.01.2022 Harper would greatly appreciate any empty baby formula tins with lids that you could donate before the end of this term. They will be transformed into something spectacular for our upcoming Market Day. Donations of all requested items can be delivered to the front office or Student Services. Sincere thanks.

23.01.2022 Our students are getting excited for Sports Day on Friday. Just a couple of reminders: This year, as mentioned in the newsletter, our Sports Day (and Catherine McAuley Sports Day) is for Students Only. In the interests of safety for your children, and the community, we kindly request no spectators attend; eg; parents/carers/grandparents/siblings etc. Students will be dismissed at the normal time on Friday (3.10pm). If you need to collect your child early during the day on Sp...orts Day you will need to sign them out at the office and wait for a staff member to bring your child to the office. Sausage sizzle orders were due last Friday. Orders have now closed, so if you did not order a sausage for your child, you will need to provide lunch or place a canteen lunch order online. If you have any other queries please do not hesitate to contact the Front Office. See more

22.01.2022 Congratulations to everyone who helped make this year's Sports Day one to remember. We sincerely appreciate the support of our families for preparing the kids in their colours and for respecting our unusual 2020 circumstance. The staff and students are looking forward to welcoming you back to our main events in 2021 The T.E.A.M. Cup (together everyone achieves more) was won by YELLOW with 990 points. Well done to them for showing great team spirit and encouragement to other...s. The Sports Day Shield was won by GREEN with 699 points, a very slim margin of 9 points from second place Red. Congratulations to them for their athletic skills. Today's event was made possible by a huge effort from the Sports Day committee and all the staff, who had big shoes to fill without our volunteers present. We're sure the kids will sleep well tonight, we know we will! See more

16.01.2022 Are your little monsters planning on haunting the streets on Tuesday (31 October) to 'Trick or Treat' for Halloween? Children should always be accompanied by a ...trusted, responsible grown-up when trick or treating. Remind little ghosts and ghouls to obey traffic rules, watch out for cars, and to take extra care when crossing - especially if their costume obscures their vision or might trip them up! Please be respectful of members of the community who might be concerned or fearful about doorknockers they may not wish to be disturbed. We’ve developed posters for residents to display on their doors, indicating whether they welcome ‘Trick or Treaters’, or don’t wish to be involved. If ‘Trick or Treaters’ are welcome at your home, download the poster here: https://www.police.sa.gov.au//0008//yes-trick-or-treat.pdf If you don’t want to participate in Halloween celebrations, you can download the ‘No, Thanks!’ poster here: https://www.police.sa.gov.au///54369/no-trick-or-treat.pdf If you have trouble with either of the above links try visiting: https://www.police.sa.gov.au//cri/safety-and-security-tips - both posters are available here, along with colouring in versions and safety tips. Spread the word and have a safe and spooktacular Halloween!
