25.01.2022 Once again the beautiful community from Civic Church in Spring Street have stepped up to help our community, clothes for a little man being born today and oth...er items for our students. These donations make a difference to the lives of our children and our families. Kindness builds relationships with children/families, that builds trust and trust builds encouragement, that is what makes a difference to a child’s commitment to coming to school and guess what that builds???? Knowledge! So thank you Helen and everyone from Civic. See more

23.01.2022 These LEGOs were bought out of grant funding that Jeni Neari and the wonderful QUOTA ladies won for us. QUOTA is another one of our wonderful supportive commun...ity organisations that put a lot of time into Darling Heights and our children and families. These LEGOs have been purchased to help us work with some of our students that need to build skills around following instructions, persistence, working with others and completing task and success. What a wonderful way to learn. LEGO is such an amazing toy for children to have as a main staple in their toy box, it allows children to create, Imagine, design, think, experiment, to succeed and let’s be honest, they do all that by just enjoying themselves and having fun.

07.01.2022 If you’re sitting around the table tonight trying to spark up a great conversation to get the kids talking about what’s happening at school this week, then you ...could ask them about science week. All week Miss Briggs is reading great books in the library with the kids and the wonderful Mrs Drayton has set up a great display for the kids to have a look at and interact with. The theme for this years science week is Deep Blue: Innovation for the future of our oceans. So why not talk with your children, ask them what they have learnt and listen to their ideas. You just might help inspire a great future.

02.01.2022 Oh look!! Lots of fun fine motor skills activities for little hands. Little hands need lots of different activities to stimulate fingers and train them. Experiment with paint brushes, scissors, do some threading and colouring.
