22.01.2022 In 5 days I'll be dancing on the Laycock Stage in front of 400 people to raise money for Cancer Council NSW - Central Coast! I'm not a dancer; I can't flip or pirouette. And now that we're only 5 days out, things are feeling pretty real and the nerves are setting in. In September 2019 I was asked to sign up to this. Back then my boys were aged 5 and 3! They're now 7 and 5! What was a 6-month commitment has turned into 18 months... It's been a BIG journey! ... But I know that getting cancer is bigger - way bigger. Bigger than biggest. And that's why I'll be putting on my bravest face, taking a big breath and jumping on to that stage come Friday night.... Pretty please support my two left feet, and help me raise $10,000 for cancer patients right here on the Central Coast. Cancer patients like my dad, like my beautiful friend who died of cancer at the age of 32, and like all the people you know who have been touched, or trampled, by this disease. ... Become part of the Central Coast Kids Day Out "Message in a Bottle" adventure! As the hugely fun and popular Kids' Day Out event was unable to go ahead last year, they've found another way to celebrate the importance of our wonderful Central Coast community!... This month, CCKDO are inviting you to share your stories of how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected you and your family. All submissions will be printed and put into a secure vessel, to be buried at a safe, public spot on the Central Coast. It will then be dug up for the children of 2070, helping them to see what it was like for kids and families during this unprecedented time. Stories can include: How your life has changed. What is different at school, on the sports field, on the stage? What has changed with getting together with your friends and family? Any stories that represent what 2020 has meant for you.
