22.01.2022 Hello, My name is Isobel, but everyone calls me Izzy! I have been coming to play at PLG since I have been a tiny baby, I have recently moved into The Bumblebee Room and I am just absolutely having the best fun with my new educators and my new Bumblebee friends and I just wanted everyone to know how happy I am and a little bit about me.... I have a rare condition known as Wiedemann-Steiner Syndrome, (we like to call ourselves the WSS Warriors) Today is International WSS Day and I wanted tell you a little bit about myself. I am only the 13th person diagnosed with this condition in Australia. This Syndrome can result in a number of additional challenges, some of these are being non verbal, delay in my gross motor skills and I can get very sick from respiratory illnesses. I do not let any of these challenges stop me though, I can communicate my needs and feelings through my PODD and sign language I also have some pretty cool equipment that I get around on, many of you may have seen my cool bike that I zoom around on . Me, mummy, daddy and my big brother J just want to say thank you for being part of my world and to my newest Bumblebee friends for always being so kind, inclusive, fun friends who take the time to play with me and to learn how to communicate with me through my PODD and Auslan. Thank you for taking the time to read this and getting to know me, if you have any questions my beautiful amazing mummy Bec is happy answer any you may have. Bye

With help from our families the Bumblebee children have completed our first bottle top artwork project, and we think they are pretty impressive We have already started on our next creation and once again we need your help, so please continue to drop those tops in our jars

21.01.2022 It's been a busy few weeks at Play Learn and Grow with Christmas Parties and Graduations to celebrate! Our Tadpoles and Frogs were so very excited when they got to do something very special by going on an excursion to Oakdale Farm. We think their beautiful happy little faces say it all

Whether they want to grow up to be an astronaut a doctor or anything they dream of becoming!... The Pyjama Foundation is there to help them reach their full potential by assisting them with their learning, and by providing consistent love and support. With a little confidence and encouragement, who knows what they can achieve? Once again this year we will be supporting the Pyjama Foundation, so we are very excited to let you all know that next week we get to wear our PJ's all week. 19.01.2022 What a wonderful week we have had celebrating Book Week Seeing so many of our favourite book characters and discovering many new ones We have used our imagination through role play to bring our characters to life ... And we found a new friend Thank you for helping us celebrate one of our favourite weeks, we are a little sad that it is over! But we don't have to wait too long to play dress ups again with, with Halloween and Trick or Treat fun happening next Friday

15.01.2022 Fight Cancer Foundation Footy Colours Day is a national fundraising campaign held during the month of September to support children living with cancer. As with most of events we participate in, we like to celebrate over the whole week so no one misses out on the fun. So next week dig out your favourite sports teams colours and come play!!!... This is a Fundraising Foundation very close to our hearts, donations jars will be placed in our foyer and office all donations are very much appreciated. We look forward to seeing your favourite team colours. Looking forward to seeing lots of Red and Blue

13.01.2022 At Play Learn and Grow we believe it is very important to connect with and contribute to local communities and agencies. So again this year we are asking our families to donate non-perishable food and gifts of toys games etc, for families and children in need. These items will be distributed to local charities and agencies that support these groups.... If you know of a local charity or group that you would like these donations to go to please let us know. Pop your donations in our sleigh or Gingerbread Man, all donations are very much appreciated.

Another year of playing, learning and growing, of reaching milestones and building friendships Another year of love and laughter, so much love and laughter ... A very big thank you to all the beautiful educators at PLG for being so fabulous at what they do!! To our children and their families, thank you for allowing us to be part of your village, we love being on this journey through childhood with you, through all the laughter, tears, tantrums, playing, learning, growing and fun we would not want to be any where else. And a huge thank you for all the beautiful gifts they are very much appreciated and you already know the cards always make us cry just a little. We wish you all a safe Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

09.01.2022 Repurposing our cardboard boxes is one of our favourite things to do at Play Learn and Grow. The Pre Schoolers shared their beautiful disposition for learning today after being provoked with a large box. "What will we do with the box today" asked April.... Jack suggested "lets make a theatre" Well this sparked lots of enthusiasm and creative ideas shared amongst the children!! "We could have all the characters in the world" "We could have mermaids " "Lets do Princesses and Dragons" "NO, lets do Superheros" "Lets do The Hulk," "We can do people and trees " And of course Frozen was suggested. With so many ideas the Pre Schoolers worked together on their very own Puppet Theatre and Finger Puppets. We were all very happy with our finished product, endless ours of imaginative play created just from a box While engaging in this learning experience we are able to practice skills that support our Early Literacy, Sustainable Practices, building confidence and self identity, whilst fostering our imagination and the skills of cooperating. We love learning through play
