23.01.2022 Our Explorers and Adventurers have shared their interests and ideas with their educators to assist them in setting up some great play spaces. These play spaces include natural and man made resources which promotes endless opportunity for open ended play to occur. Open ended play gives children the opportunity to make decisions, share their thoughts and ideas, build on social skills, express imagination, and creativity while happily engaging in play. #playbasedlearning

15.01.2022 This week is National Child Protection Week, the theme for 2020, Putting Children First. Throughout this week we have provided various learning opportunities for all our friends to engage in to support their understanding of different feelings and emotions, as well as the importance of expressing, recognising and acknowledging feelings and emotions. We also discussed how important it is to be aware of safe people who we can trust and talk with - about absolutely anythin...g. Our week of learning also linked in with R U OK? Day. The children engaged in learning to recognise when others may be sad or in need and how to assist them by asking the simple question, Are You Ok? And following through with great listening. Our week promoted safety and well-being for all children.

06.01.2022 On this day 10 YEARS ago I walked into our Illawong centre to begin the ride of our life and I certainly haven't looked back, what a wonderful 10 years it has b...een. We have gone from strength to strength and i couldn't have done it without my husband Nick and my amazing educators that have stood by me for such a long time. My drive, passion and love for the industry has lead me to where I am today. A special mention to Lisa on 10 years of service, thank you for sharing this journey with us, we appreciate everything you have done for us over the last 10 years and look forward to many more to come. And also to Monique and Yasmin for 4 years of service, it's so nice to have a team educators that share the same passion as you do and give it everything each day they are at work. Both Nick and I have achieved so much in the last 10 Years and have so much more to give. Nearly 3 years ago we took on another challenge of adding another centre, yes it's been challenging at times, having the 2 centres and a family but I am so thankful for our staff and AMAZING director at our Engadine centre who give it their all day in and out. THANK YOU to all our families who have attended the centre over the last 10 years, we are so grateful for your love and support of the years. We love seeing how your children have progressed through their schooling years after finishing up at the centre. Last week we received an absolute AMAZING gift and was surprised with a beautiful photo book filled with photos and messages from past and present families. Thank you so much to Lisa who has spent so many months organising such a beautiful and thoughtful gift, Nick and i have loved looking back on all the photos and messages and will definitely cherish this book. I never would have thought i would be saying I have owned and operated my centre for 10 YEARS!!!! Here's to more wonderful years as centre operators guiding those beautiful children through their first stages of life.
