24.01.2022 This weekend we have some exciting activities on at Rio Tinto Naturescape! Saturday 28 March, crafty kids (and arty parents!) can make their own quirky Paperbag... Trees. This activity will be held between 10.30am 1pm (weather permitting) at the Entrance Pod. Sunday 29 March, (weather permitting) well be running a Bush Treasure Hunt all day! Starting at the Entrance Pod, its a scavenger hunt to collect items around Rio Tinto Naturescape to unlock a secret code and claim a prize!

Here you will be able to follow current trends in playground equipment (such as the ever-growing nature-play areas), updated and revised Australian Standards pertaining to Playground Safety but more importantly wed like to hear stories from YOU and your great or not-so-great playground experiences. Tell us about a fantastic park or playground youve been to recently so we can share it with the rest of Perth, or let us know if youve come across some equipment that appears somewhat iffy. Each week we will be posting a review on a playground of our choice so you can confidently take your children to an appropriately aged playground for a fun and SAFE experience. 07.01.2022 Yesterday we were out at The Vale, Averley to do an audit on a park and due to the location and tranquility, thought it would be nice to share it with everyone! The park is located on Wexcombe Way, The Vale (Swan Valley) and is situated near a lake and surrounded by lush green grass for the kids and dogs to have a good run. The playground itself has a nice, clean sand surface and is suitable for older children (3 - 10). Whilst there isnt any specific equipment for toddlers, the lake, sand and grass would provide enough stimulation! The playground is sunken, surrounded by fantastic amphitheatre-style seating and with shops close by, would be a great place to sit for lunch while the children play. Enjoy!
