01.01.2022 The COVID-19 recovery roadmap has been released by the ACT Government. The next changes come into effect this weekend (or 11.59pm Friday night). Some of the changes to hospitality and leisure:... Stage 2.1 allows for a variable number of patrons at restaurants, clubs and cafes depending on their size. Large venues can have up to 20 patrons. Very large venues which have multiple enclosed spaces (like large clubs) could even have over 200 patrons. Galleries, museums, national and cultural institutions can reopen. Outdoor amusements and attractions (like zoos) can reopen. Choirs, bands and orchestras can resume. Caravans and campgrounds can reopen. Gyms, sport, and beauty therapy: Gyms and health clubs can reopen for small classes. No unsupervised use of any other gym equipment is allowed. Boot camp, pools, personal training, yoga, barre, pilates, and spin groups can reopen. Low-contact indoor and outdoor sports can resume, including dance. Beauty therapy, day spas, massage parlours and tattoo businesses can reopen. Other venues: Places of worship and weddings can have up to 20 people. Funerals can have up to 50 people indoors and outdoors. Community centres and facilities can reopen. Universities and CIT can resume face-to-face learning where possible. People should continue to work from home where possible.
