What did you do to receive that 'gift' (because a compliment IS a gift )? Did you shrug it off, diminish it or try to pass it off as someone else being more deserving or did you accept it with thanks, grace and smile because someone took a moment to connect strongly and personally with you, to celebrate something about y...ou they thought was remarkable? The small challenge? What was the last personal compliment (gift) that you thoughtfully crafted and gave to someone else? I bet you made their day that bit more magical. I bet you created a moment of reflection where they left your presence feeling uplifted, purposeful, regarded with respect, listened to. Words are powerful aren't they? How will yours impact someone today?

06.01.2022 Mindfulness is awareness. If we are aware that we are becoming tense, recognising that our breathing has moved from low in the diaphragm to higher in the chest, for example, taking 2 deep breaths in (to the count of 6) and slowly exhaling (To the count of 10 or 12) can help reset that anxiety. Inhale more air and exhale more carbon dioxide. In addition- try moving slowly and deliberately, it's a very good way to notice tension in your body that was hidden by the anxiety. 03.01.2022 The treadmill has been dead knackered for two days now and slowly dying the previous weeks- first no speed increase button then no decrease speed button and finally not stopping or suddenly stopping. With just a few days left I have to consider my first DNF- we’ll see. Thanks for the messages private or otherwise.
