12.01.2022 Do you still sing the echo in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer?? Who went down in history when you were a kid? "You'll go down in hi-sto-ry.... like ______" I grew up in Adelaide in the 1980s with the Grand Prix every year. Alain Prost or Ayrton Senna were the history-makers that I can remember!... Reading aloud to children can encourage a love of reading, increase literacy ability in school and be opened again & again! For the children who prefer the wrapping to the present, who are too young to understand yet and for the ones who already have everything... grab books as a gift!... #booklove Head to www.pleasedontcry.com.au to order your copy. Free delivery in Cairns & surrounds

02.01.2022 Here’s a crying baby. Not something you see on social media much. Usually it’s the cutest shots, smiles, chubby cheeks & happy photos. Don’t slam me for photographing my child crying... it was actually a way to document her first year, how hard it was and the inspiration for Please Don’t Cry. Not all babies are easy to settle for a sleep, not all babies snuggle down peacefully. Some actually get very upset at sleep time. Some actually cry. And crying is an instinctual way... to communicate something is wrong for them. And for some parents this can be very distressing, especially what they are exhausted too & all baby needs to do is close her eyes and sleep... If leaving baby to self-settle try to ensure they have all their needs met first. And if I could go back... I’d not have let this child self-settle (the other one was a master at it!), I’d have held her more. We make up for it now. Hush little baby, please don’t cry. My precious child, sweet dreams... goodnight. See more
