18.01.2022 What the gas?! The Federal Budget announced this week solidified the government's commitment to a gas-fired recovery for the Australian economy. Of the $1.8 billion energy budget, $58.6 million has been allocated to the gas sector, to unlock gas sources and support gas infrastructure projects. Gas is not a renewable energy source, and while it has fewer emissions than coal, it is a fossil fuel that contributes to climate change. Gas contains methane, the second most signific...ant greenhouse gas in terms of climate change. Carbon dioxide and methane emissions are generated in the burning, production and liquefying of gas. How do we feel about gas being a major part of Australia’s energy future?

06.01.2022 Meet Tyler. Tyler manages all of our Perth site visits, installations and support. He loves helping Plico members transition to a cleaner, greener future. He's also passionate about acting on climate change which threatens his love of surfing, diving and travel. I see climate change as a serious threat to my three favourite activities. The biggest wakeup call for me has been the undeniable change to the health of our coral reefs across the globe. I have scuba-dived across many continents, and I have seen firsthand how coral bleaching is destroying entire underwater ecosystems. This is just one of the many motivations I have to make a difference and drive climate action. We’re lucky to have Tyler's positive energy in the Plico team!
