23.01.2022 Today we farewell this amazing group of women. Due to Covid, they were unable to fly home to Timor-Leste, so when they finished the season with Tasmanian Berries, they were transferred here to pick citrus.... Coming from picking berries with no heavy lifting and no ladder work and with their little physiques, we were not expecting much. At the beginning, most of them were afraid of climbing the ladders and filling bags up to 20kgs. With their sheer determination and positive attitudes, they finished the season off as above average competent pickers. They earnt between $1000 - $1500 a week, sometimes even more! Some of them can pick 4 bins of mandarines a day! You should be very proud of yourselves and how far you have come because we sure are! Safe travels and hopefully we meet again.
