19.01.2022 You’ve got to love going to bed with 60% chance of <1mm, waking up to 80% chance of 5-10mm and getting this, plus the 3mm I tipped out at 9am

19.01.2022 Tis the season, fa la la la la, la la la la (+21mm earlier this week)

16.01.2022 I hope as many people as possible got the hear the beautiful sound of rain drops on their roof today. I must admit it was a rare time where I wasn’t annoyed that I am light sleeper. I lay there just listening a few times during the night. And with the last 1mm falling over the last three hours we finally made it to 40mm for the 24hrs.

15.01.2022 It’s like they know it’s the weekend. Pulled 1 during the week and 3 already today. But all alive so that makes it worth checking them.

13.01.2022 It’s amazing how quickly the country responds when you have it locked up and containment feeding the girls. They look quite happy to be sitting in some lush, all be it short, green grass.

10.01.2022 First round of marking done. Some very thick and well rounded calves in these guys. Millah Murrah Angus Emporer J249 and Top Boss Leading Edge L292 all To Ai. Also Minnamurra L84 Ai and back up calves. Damien Sotter of Beef Genetics did the inseminations.

08.01.2022 Checked out the rain chart for 2019. Depressing to say the least. We received 476mm for the entire year which is 400mm below average annual. And we received 180mm of that in January storms. Which means we only got 290mm for the rest of the year. Here’s hoping for a dramatic change.

08.01.2022 Some great information on what to do if you’ve been bitten by a snake. Definitely worth the read.

03.01.2022 The view from the smoko room today. Think spring is on its way. Only hope there is a bit more rain before it gets here.
