22.01.2022 ***Uniform Shop*** Evening all, we have just noticed there were a lot of new orders placed online today for uniforms. Please note as per our previous post and the email sent out this morning, these will not be delivered until May 27th. All orders placed last week have now been delivered to your childs teacher, please check with them first if you havent received it yet. Our wonderful teachers are super busy at the moment and may not have had chance to check!... Angie

Mrs Parahi - DO years P/1 At Park Lake we are lucky to have the best Principals on the Gold Coast! This year especially we have seen how much our leadership team care and go above and beyond to ensure our children get the best primary school experience possible. Friday 7th August is Principals Day! Lets show our appreciation for all the hard work and support we get from our Principles. 20.01.2022 **Senior Shirts** We would like to apologise to the year 6 students who did not receive their shirts today as promised (my daughter included ). We are not exactly sure what happened as we had a plan to have them picked up by students from the office. We can only imagine that the first day back after the Covid situation was a bit stressful and senior shirts didn't all go out!... Liz will go in tomorrow and sort it out! We thank you for your patience... and I can promise you these shirts are awesome, the kids will be very happy! Angie

19.01.2022 UNIFORM SHOP NEWS TERM 4 Welcome to Term 4! I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday , and back refreshed to finish out the year ... Behind the scenes things have been changing with the uniform shop As you all know by now, the school has moved across to Qkr! for purchases and payments. The uniform shop is now live! Photos are being uploaded in the next few days. Orders will continue to be ONLINE ONLY via Qkr! Whilst it currently gives an option to have the uniforms delivered any day, please be aware I will be filling the orders once a week on Wednesdays, as per last term. If there is a new student starting, please email [email protected] to make arrangements with me SIZING Exchanges are active for sizing issues, providing the item has not been worn and tags are still attached. Our shirts and jackets all run much the same sizing e.g. if your child is a size 10 in a polo, grab a size 10 jacket. For polar fleece jackets, I'd recommend going up one size from the polo shirt sizing if you're unsure. A little big is far better than too small! These little people are growing BLACK AND BLUE JACKETS Black and Blue Jackets are still discounted at $45. Size 10 and 12 are out of stock, but plenty of the other sizes currently available. These are perfect for the cooler days when it rains during summer, and warm enough during winter. HATS We have NEW HATS now in stock. They are reversible bucket hats, with black side for regular wear and our house colours on the underside! They still come with a toggle (including a hole to switch the toggle through when wearing on the opposite side), and a name tag. I’d recommend writing your child’s name on the coloured side along the brim, or along the panel where the toggle pokes through. I look forward to seeing orders come through for this new style of hat, we’ve been eager to introduce them! Cheers Liz

16.01.2022 UNIFORM SHOP NEWS STOCK Skorts expected arrival is later this month... Blue and Black Jackets delivery is imminent Polar fleece jackets are in stock, as well as all other shirts and shorts. Still awaiting a hair accessory delivery. All items are available to order, with STOCK PLACED ON BACKORDER TO BE FILLED ONCE IT ARRIVES. OPENING TIMES The opening times have been a little fluid this term due to calendar conflicts with appointments. From the week beginning May 17th (next week), the order processing days will be Monday, and the new shop opening hours will be... Mondays (whilst processing orders) 9.30-10am (traffic dependent) open until 12.30/1pm close Wednesdays 3.15-3.30pm (traffic dependent) open until 4.30pm close If these times do not suit, other times can often be arranged by appointment via email to [email protected] SENIOR SHIRTS All senior shirts have now been delivered. 13.01.2022 ***Uniform Shop Update** Yesterday Liz had 92 orders to process! These orders were taken to the office for the office staff to deliver them to classrooms. Due to the sheer volume of orders (and not being able to have volunteer help), the office staff may not have been able to deliver them to the classrooms before end of day. This process is definitely not as efficient as our usual process but this is an unusual time for everyone! We apologise for any delays and appreciate yo...ur understanding. Angie

Opening hours are Monday to Friday first break only. ... Flexischools online sales only. There will be NO counter sales (cash) at this time. The Uniformshop will continue to be ONLINE ONLY via Flexischools. They will be filled once a week on Wednesday. Orders need to be lodged before Tuesday lunch time to be filled that week. Please see the Uniform shop post if you need/want more details. Team update - As you know we are all volunteers running the P&C. This means sometimes our other life commitments no longer allow us to continue to volunteer. This is the case as we accept the resignation of our Vice President. We would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to ANGIE ARMSTRONG for all her dedication over the last few years. 03.01.2022 TUCKSHOP RE-OPENING!!! With Park Lake students beginning to return to school Tuckshop will be returning too It is important to us that we are able to support the community with a lunch service and be there as a treat for our students, who are doing so well with this unusual situation. ... As with other services at this time, there are safety directives we are following. For us this includes a 'Flexischools Only Service' (NO Counter Sales with Cash) and operating a 'Convenor Only' Tuckshop (without assistance of volunteers). For this reason we have had to make adjustments to our service. Tuckshop will re-open starting with a PREP AND YEAR 1 lunch only service on Monday 18th May, aiming to extend our service to the remainder of the community over the coming weeks. We will be starting with a limited range of items, which we hope to add to, as our convenors learn and adjust to the preparation and delivery of lunches without the assistance of their volunteers/parent helpers.
