21.01.2022 Smoke alarms... needs to be permanently connected to consumer mains power. not more than 10 years old. in correct location. in good working order.... For smoke alarms to be in good working order they should be tested and maintained regularly. Testing once per month to ensure the battery and the alarm sounder are operating. Check the smoke alarm for any build-up of dust and cobwebs and clean with a vacuum cleaner at least every six months. Vacuum with a soft brush attachment around the smoke alarm vents. Use a surface insect spray around the smoke alarm to prevent insects nesting inside. (Not into) Replacing batteries annually (mains powered smoke alarms have back-up batteries). Smoke alarms should never be painted. Hard wired smoke alarms can only be installed by a licensed electrician. Have you maintained your smoke alarms lately?

12.01.2022 Sometimes with our commercial clients, power can not be cut off until after hours. So we work through the night under our 12volt battery lighting system so that the client can resume business again first thing in the morning. This was for the removal of the old main switch board and replacing it with a new switch board and rewiring.

03.01.2022 As electricians you spend a lot of time in roof spaces. You come across a lot of spiders, mice, rats, lizards, possums but you dont often come across this!! A snake! Peter worked very quietly and carefully not to disturb it.
