23.01.2022 Ever wondered why your tap washers need to be constantly replaced and no matter how hard you turn the tap off the water and drips just keep coming ? Well look closely at the first two photos and you will see a serious cavity in the tap seat, which no matter how hard the tap washer gets pushed against it, it is never going to seal water tight. We use a special tool to hone the tap seat back to flat and smooth and then service the tap spindles to make turning the water off s...uper easy. We can even install new stainless steel tap seats into the existing wall breech when honing just won’t do it.

21.01.2022 Hydronic Floor Heating..... over time, when I have installed floor heating it has involved a lot of laborious,crouching over, tying down pipe-work attached to reinforced mesh and after an hour or so I would be on the phone to the osteopath making an appt. This made this otherwise rewarding job, ... painful. Well, we have trialled and installed a new product today. The bulk of the pipe laying process is done whilst standing up-right and what a breakthrough. Absolutely no sore back in the process. If you're building and wondering how to heat your home, consider underfloor heating. It's one of the most comfortable and subtle forms of heating available that warms you from the feet up. From now on, I will be more than happy to install it for you.

20.01.2022 What a way to make an entrance ! This one, which uses Colourbond Copper Penny nail strip and real copper sheet is stunning and was an absolute pleasure to install.

19.01.2022 I am very proud to show off our latest Old to new, transformation. We have replaced guttering and downpipes at this lovely old two story apartment building and whilst we were at it, we replaced all of the old roof flashing which included the old school chimney flashing. The pictures show the before, striped off and replaced flashings. It’s been hard work in this heat but we are really happy with the finished product.

16.01.2022 Some say things come in pairs, some say in three’s, we will have to wait and see. Here are two of our most recent gas log fire installation’s and what is special about these two are the ornate cast metal decorations, which are identical. They were attached to the original wood burning fire and I removed them and attached to the new surround. The owners of the houses were both delighted to be able to keep the decorations and I can certainly see why.

15.01.2022 Having to put your own mounting holes in a basin is a first for me so after a quick read of the instructions we decided to film my attempt. Hitting porcelain with a punch and hammer.... nothing could go wrong here ? Fortunately a happy ending

09.01.2022 112 x 8.5 meter roof sheets (715 M2) installed in two days. A great team effort between the JBJ builders and Add Plumbing on this job. And to top it off, from such an interesting location. The structure has been built to protect some of the older exhibits at the museum. The later photos show a wash basin in a first class carriage. Amazing workmanship went into what would have been the only way to travel in a bygone era.

05.01.2022 This is where it all started.

03.01.2022 In the middle of the night when there wasn't any background noise my clients could hear an unusual sound. Unfortunately after some time they decided to do something about the noise. When I arrived I knew what the noise was, it was water being sprayed against the floor boards ! The house was too low to the ground to access the leak where it was so the only way in, was through the floor ! Next step will be to hire some carpenter's to replace the floor in that room.

02.01.2022 This is one of the most unique chimneys I have ever worked with. Located in Macedon ranges the fellow who created this structure quite rightly signed his name to his work. What's really interesting is that this is what most chimneys look like on the inside. Normally the brick layers would put another wall around the chimney which makes it look square or rectangle. We installed a Coonara gas heater into it and now the owner will be warm whenever they like with the push of a button.

02.01.2022 Installing stage one of the chilled water lines at the brewery with a fantastic product that comes pre lagged for the ultimate efficiency. These lines will be connected to the fermentation tanks and will control the temperature of the beer during the fermentation process. Stage two will be connecting the lines to the new tanks. Lots more piping to be completed in the coming weeks as this stage of the project reaches its completion.
