25.01.2022 A beautiful message we are sharing from a family (with their permission) "When I first did Now and Next, Melo so beautifully explained that was not the be-all and end-all. That living and learning peppered into that are how this gig should work. It took me time to understand this! I thought maybe this example would be useful to share as a loved experience.... We are working on C.s fine motor skills at the moment. One activity our OT suggested about a month ago was C. to take objects out of a container. Here is how we practise: - fine motor - tall sitting and sit to stand - communication (more kws) - independent living life skills - empty wash basket : ) Also, we found this free chair on the roadside so technically no funding used to support this activity : )" Thank you so much for sharing! We love it! Feel free to share if you have a story to on how you are doing things differently and creatively.

Having supported hundreds of parents across 3 continents, Melo has learnt that no matter where we come from we are all far more similar than we are different and what binds and unites us all is the love we have for our children.... Join Melo to hear his story of how he moved from being a 'spectator' dad to the father he wished he had growing up. HOW TO JOIN: This is a Facebook Live event hosted in the RD Facebook Group. He is 28 now and passionate about his micro-business - raising awareness of disability in the community through a show called Karim’s Mojo Disco. Check out his Facebook page where you can watch a trailer of his first paid gig at Sydney University. What is your child’s strength?
