15.01.2022 Heres Maroubra member Matthew doing the right thing : wiping down the machine after he used it. He told us that he loves the ab crunch machine because it works his core. And that means stomach muscles AND lower back. We often mistakenly believe that the core is just our abs. To have a strong core you must have strong lower back muscles too. 11.01.2022 What are the first foods that you eat post workout? Our member Jarrod consumes bananas and almonds. Bananas are loaded with potassium (great for the heart) and will replenish energy spent during training. Almonds are in fact (surprisingly) a good source of protein. Around ten almonds deliver 6 grams of protein. They are also a source of good fats. #therealhumansofplusfitnessmaroubra

09.01.2022 The NSW Department of Health have announced new restrictions due to an increase in cases of Coronavirus across NSW. One of these restrictions is that from Saturday 1st August gyms are only permitted to be open when they are staffed. This means that we are currently not able to trade 24 hours a day. To minimise any inconvenience, we have extended our staffed hours until we are able to return to 24 hour trading. This means our temporary opening hours are;... Monday to Thursday: 4.30am to 10pm Friday: 4.30am to 8.30pm Saturday: 8am to 5pm Sunday: 10am to 2pm For all your admin, sales, cancellations, timeholds etc normal office hours apply. Monday - Friday 8.30am-12.30pm Monday - Thursday 3.30pm-7.30pm Saturday 8.00am-12pm The staff on-site outside these hours are purely here as "covid safety marshalls" and do not have the ability to process requests to sell, alter or stop memberships. This restriction will have a significant impact on our wage costs following what has already been a challenging 4 months for us. We are doing everything we can to manage this situation as best we can, and we do appreciate your understanding at this time. Please continue to do your part by sticking to our cleaning and hygiene protocols when you are at the gym. These include; Washing your hands or using hand sanitiser before and after you train. Using a towel on all equipment. Wiping down the equipment after use. Practising social distancing, and; If you are not feeling well, remembering its OK to skip a training day!
