24.01.2022 A fantastic effort by all our athletes at Sundays State Relay Championships. All gave their very best on the day and it was just great to watch. Congratulations to Cruz and Harry who won a silver in the U10 Boys Field Relay, missing the gold by just 1 point. The boys came first in three of their four events and demonstrated fantastic sportsmanship. Congratulations to Darcy, Harper, Camille and Willow for winning a bronze medal in the U10 Girls 4x100m and a fourth place in the... 4x200m. Darcy and Camille are U9 girls who ran an age group up and all the girls ran a fantastic race. Our U9 boys ran out their skin and made both the 100m and 200m finals. Our U12 Girls ran well but missed out on making the finals. The U8s had a ball with one of the boys team finishing 5th. Super proud of all our athletes, thank you parents for your support and all for such a great day.

22.01.2022 Early close to the 2019/20 Summer Little Athletics Season In light of government announcements regarding COVID-19, Little Athletics SA has advised centres to cease all Little Athletics related activities, bringing a close to the 2019/20 Little Athletics summer season. For Plympton LAC this applies to our Tiny Tots Mini-Olympics scheduled for this Sunday 22nd and our presentation/AGM gathering scheduled for April 5th. ... The 2020 State Cross Country Championships, 2020 State Race Walking Championships and 2020 SA Athletics Academy are also suspended until further notice. We will post who our trophy winners are for the season here on Facebook and to members via email so families can celebrate their achievements. Trophies will not be ready until the first week of April so we will advise how we will get them, personal best certificates and medals to our athletes. Thank you for your understanding. 13.01.2022 Spent the morning with the great kids of Edwardstown Primary School teaching them about Little Athletics. The Reception to Year 2's sure kept me on my toes! Thanks to the Toyota Australia Little Athletics South Australia Program for Schools for inviting me along. Hopefully we'll be seeing some of these energetic youngsters out on the track when our season starts on October 13th.

09.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT With the recent devastation of the Bushfires around the country and so many close to home in South Australia, Little Athletics SA w...ill be fundraising at the upcoming State PB Classic #2. The funds received will go towards the CFS Foundation who supports the CFS and also a percentage to Clubs who have had families impacted by the fires to help support them in this great time of need. While we have not heard of anyone within our community losing their homes, significant damages and loss have occurred to properties and livestock. Little Athletics SA is an organisation who heavily relies on volunteers, so we cannot express how grateful we are for the CFS and their volunteers' efforts in keeping SA safe. To show our appreciation, the event will now be called the SA Bushfire Appeal State PB Classic where we will have donations buckets available for anyone in attendance to make a contribution. Little Athletics SA will also be matching all donations made from the days' contributions In light of this, we will also be extending the entries for this event until 11:59 PM on Monday 20th January 2020! 07.01.2022 In light of the current Northern Suburbs COVID-19 cluster, Little Athletics SA has made the decision to POSTPONE the State PB Class...ic I which was due to be held on Sunday 22nd November 2020. Little Athletics SA is taking early precaution, to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to assist with clubs being able to continue to operate at a club level. As soon as we have a new date for the State PB Classic I, we will be in contact with all clubs and members. : Athlete’s registrations and their event selections for the State PB Classic I will transfer through to the new date, and you will not have to re-register for the event once the new date is announced. We apologies for any inconvenience caused. Our first priority as an association is the safety of all athletes, families, volunteers and staff. Thank you for your understanding.

01.01.2022 We are very happy to share that our application for a grant through the Coles Little Athletics Community Fund was successful! The grant will fund our transition to electronic start guns and a paperless recording system. Huge thank you to Coles and also to our Grants Officer Chris Roberts for his time and effort in completing this application! Coles State General Manager Sophie Wong said Coles was pleased to support SA’s budding athletes and parent volunteers. We know it’s be...en a difficult six months for everyone involved in community sport. We hope these grants will give athletes, families and volunteers a morale boost ahead of the new season, she said. Coles is passionate about helping kids lead healthier, happier lives. That’s why we’re delighted to have raised nearly $200,000 in South Australia and $1.68 million nationally for local sports clubs through the Coles Little Athletics Community Fund in just two years.
