24.01.2022 This is a great visual summary of the JobKeeper 2.0 announcement made by the Government earlier this week.

23.01.2022 The Government has announced a number of changes to the JobKeeper and JobSeeker payments. Both payments have been extended to run into 2021, with a number of changes made to eligibility rules and payment arrangements. The changes to JobKeeper include: - extending the scheme until 28 March 2021;... - introducing a tiered payment approach depending on employment hours; - reducing the amount of the payment in two stages, and eligible employers to continue to meet the decline in turnover test. The changes to JobSeeker include: - increasing the income free area for the income test, as well as increasing the taper rate for the partner income test; - extending payment of the Coronavirus supplement to 31 December 2020; - reducing the amount of Coronavirus supplement payable; - reintroducing mutual job obligations, and -reintroducing the assets test and liquid assets waiting period from 25 September 2020. Relaxed eligibility rules for certain applicants and waiving of the ordinary waiting period have also been extended.
